    摘要: A reversing mechanism for a pneumatically or hydraulically powered tool having a rotor adapted to rotate in either of first and second rotational directions. The reversing mechanism allows a user to actuate a button and rotate a valve to direct air flow through the tool. By pressing the button, the button will move a base laterally, and in doing so, rotates the valve. Rotating the valve then aligns a barrier of the valve in a direction tangential to the selected rotational direction of the tool, better directing forced air or fluid and more efficiently distributing the air or fluid in the selected rotational direction.

    摘要: A switch valve structure of a fluid machine (10) having a pump mode to operate as a compressor and a motor mode to operate as an expander is disclosed. In pump mode, a communication path (106) between a working chamber (V) and a high-pressure chamber (104) is closed, while in motor mode, the communication path (106) is opened by a valve unit (107d). The valve unit (107d) is includes a spool portion (117) sliding in the direction substantially perpendicular to the surface to which the communication path (106) opens and a valve portion (127) arranged at the forward end of the spool portion (127) and sliding with the spool portion (117) thereby to open/close the communication path (106). A swivel mechanism (137) is interposed between the spool portion (117) and the valve portion (127) to tilt the sliding axis of the valve portion (127) at an arbitrary angle with respect to the sliding axis of the spool portion (117).

    摘要: A fluid powered mechanism has a housing with a generally cylindrical shape and circumferentially adjacent axially extending primary and secondary fluid passageways. Exhaust direction and rotary limit speed are controlled by a flow reversing and regulating ring having a first face with a thru slot and an adjacent blocking flange and a second face having a turning flange which is the reverse of the blocking flange of the first face. The flow reversing and regulating ring is color coded to indicate the size of the fluid flow passageways and, thus, the limit speed provided by the ring. The rotational limit speed and the exhaust direction are determined by selection of the color-coded flow reversing and regulating ring and by its orientation in the tool.

    摘要: An improved torque control mechanism for a rotary vane, air motor tool includes acceleration and speed responsive slidable elements positioned in grooves that lie in a plane transverse to the spin axis of the motor and which form an angle with the radii extending from the spin axis. The elements cooperate with a cam plate which operates a fluid supply valve to close off air supply to the tool whenever torque of the tool causes the speed of the motor to decrease below a threshold level. A bypass valve and passage is manually operable to initiate operation of the air motor. An auxiliary low volume, low pressure valve and passage permits an operator to provide minor adjustments of the orientation of the output shaft of the tool. For reverse operation, the speed and acceleration control is eliminated by operation of a reverse operation control mechanism.

    摘要: A control system (10) for supplying an operational chamber (38) in an air motor with pressurized fluid causing rotors (18 and 20) therein to move and develop an output torque in response to an input signal. Electrically operated valves (52 and 54) selectively controlling the flow of fluid from first and second bellows means (48 and 50) which are normally seated to seal distribution conduit (34 and 36) connecting the operational chamber (38) to the atmosphere. A select high disc valve (104) in the fluid pressure supply passage provides operating fluid to the distribution conduit (34 or 36) opposite the one which is vented to the atmosphere. In a two position air motor powered actuator, the electrical signals for the valves (52 and 54) may be derived as a simple function of actual rotor rotation and rotor rotational speed. As the total number of rotations approaches a set number, the scheduled rotational speed approaches zero, and the signal to the valves (52 and 54 ) terminates and allows the bellows means (48 and 50) to reseal the distribution conduit (34 or 36) as needed to stop rotor motion or slow it enough to assure stop engagement without excessive impact force. For other actuator applications, the signals to valves (52 and 54) may be provided by control means as used for a doser actuator piston controller (Reference U.S. Pat. No. 4,386,553).
