Abstract: An improvement is made in a package including a protective film enclosing an article and a tack label coupled to an outer surface of the protective film such that a step of forming a slit in the protective film can be omitted and the need to form a dent at a specific area in the article is eliminated. A protective film includes an overlapping portion in which a first edge portion directly opposing the article and a second edge portion opposing the article via the first edge portion are overlapped with each other, and in a coupling surface between a tack label coupled so as to cover the overlapping portion and a protective film, a non-uniform coupling force distribution is provided in which a second region continuously connected to the second edge portion has a higher coupling force than a first region continuously connected to the first edge portion.

Abstract: A combined wine glass and wine bottle package includes a wine glass constructed from molded plastic with an upper shell-shaped body defining an upwardly narrowing tapered flume of generally uniform thickness and a contoured lower base defining an annular moat surrounding a central punt. A wine bottle is sized to fit substantially into the wine glass in an inverted orientation with a removable bottle cap nested within the central punt, and with an upper rim of the wine bottle snap-fitted into a shallow groove formed in the wine bottle near a lower end thereof. This entire package is sterile-wrapped in a sealed shrink-wrap plastic or the like. The package can be opened when desired to permit removal of the wine bottle from the wine glass, following by bottle opening and pouring of the contents into the wine glass.

Abstract: A method of marking a package of articles, especially consumer articles, such as cigarettes or the like, includes providing a package of one or more article and a first wrapping material. The package is wrapped with the first wrapping material. A marking is provided on a region of the enclosure. The step of providing a marking on the region of the enclosure includes irradiating the wrapped package with a laser beam, and the first wrapping material is substantially transparent to the laser beam, at least in the region to be marked. An apparatus for marking a package of articles, such as a pack of cigarettes, is also described.
