    摘要: The presently claimed invention comprises an endless, flexible, track for use on track-driven implements comprising an inner surface with modular drive lugs to engage a driving mechanism of the implement. The modular drive lugs are mounted to the inner surface of the track and have through-holes to receive a fastening means. Situated on the outer, terrain-contacting surface of the endless track are interchangeable traction cleats spanning the width of the track. According to some embodiments, the outer surface may be slick rubber surface so as to provide maximum flotation for the skidsteer and minimal penetration to the surface. This is especially applicable to low traction surfaces such as snow.

The track assembly includes pairs of links disposed on the link engaging surfaces of the track pads. The pairs of links include an outer link having an outer bushing end and an outer pin end, and an inner link spaced-apart from the outer link. The inner link has an inner bushing end and an inner pin end. A distance between the inner bushing ends and the outer bushing ends is less than a distance between the inner pin ends and the respective outer pin ends. The track assembly includes pins connecting the bushing ends of pairs of links to the pin ends of adjacent pairs of links forming endless chains. The endless chains connect adjacent track pads in an endless loop.

    摘要: A crawler belt link includes a center portion, one end portion located on one end side of the center portion, and the other end portion located on the other end side of the center portion. In a second surface, the center portion has a first portion of a rail surface, the one end portion has a second portion of the rail surface, and the other end portion has a third portion of the rail surface. A first outer circumferential portion reaching the second portion of the rail surface is located closer to a second side portion with respect to a bushing hole surrounding portion. Accordingly, a crawler belt link and a crawler belt apparatus can be implemented, by which wear of the rail surface above a bushing hole can be suppressed while maintaining the width of the crawler belt link to be relatively small.

In a construction useable with snowmobile studs, a ground engaging surface includes a self threading center bore and concentrically disposed to which are a raised, hexagon tool surface and a number of pointed secondary, traction enhancing studs. A track engaging surface of the retainer includes a tapered recess concentric to the stud receiving bore and a number of projections which enhance the grip between the retainer and track without squeeze out or tearing. Alternative configurations and mounting arrangements of the secondary studs and gripping projections are disclosed and some of which provide multi-faceted surfaces.

    摘要: A traction stud for an endless snowmobile belt including an elongate rod having a ground engagable end and a threaded end which can be coupled to the track with a threaded fastener. A slot is cut into the threaded portion of the track such that the terminal end threaded portion is separated from the remaining threaded portion by a gap but coupled thereto via a reduced stem which, after installation, can be broken away so that the remaining portion of the stud shank is flush with the fastener. The invention also contemplates the method of making the stud and the method of installing the stud with a transverse slot providing a weakened break away portion which can be severed by the application of transverse force to remove the axially inner terminal end of the stud.

    摘要: A traction point for a snowmobile track includes a fastener that extends through the track with a head on one side of the track, and a pointed nut that has a pointed end and which is threaded onto the fastener on the opposite side of the track from the fastener head. The traction point includes a base for support on the track, and pyramidal shaped reinforcement gussets that merge at a point to provide for increased traction for the snowmobile. Small ribs can be provided on the traction point for engaging the track to reduce the likelihood of the traction point unthreading and coming off during use. The pyramid shaped flanges give a paddle effect as they engage ice or snow to provide increased surface area for reaction of the driving forces from a snowmobile transmitted through the track, and also increased corner traction and braking effect.

    摘要: An assembly for joining ends of a drive track of an endless track drive system includes at least one connector member or connector member belt situated within the endless drive track, one or two retaining rods situated between abutting ends of the endless drive track, and a master link with a one-piece upper part and a one-piece lower part. The connector member(s) or connector member belt(s) is situated within the endless drive track in such a way that substantially parallel lengths of the connector member(s) or connector member belt(s) extend longitudinally of the endless drive track and loops of the connector member(s) or connector member belt(s) extend from ends of the endless drive track. The loops extending from abutting ends of the endless drive track are looped around an individual retaining rod, or two different retaining rods, and the retaining rod(s) and loops are sandwiched between the upper and lower master link parts by a fastening device which holds the upper and lower master link parts to one another. The retaining rod(s) is circumferentially grooved and connector member loops are disposed within the groove(s) so as to lie below the outer circumferential surface of the retaining rod(s), such that compression is exerted by the master link upon the retaining rod(s) and not upon the connector member loops. The simplified, high strength joint assembly can be utilized for interconnecting one or more drive track modules to form an endless drive track.
