摘要： Instead of disposing gray water with sewage water, a gray water recycling apparatus uses a series of sensors and determines the acceptability of chemical concentrations and temperature of the gray water for use in irrigation purposes so as to ensure the recycled gray water is safe for irrigation. If it is, a three-way valve is positioned to direct the gray water to an irrigation pipe; otherwise, the three-way valve is positioned to direct the water to a public sewage system or septic tank.

The system alternatively directs water drained from the shower or bathtub to either a recycled water storage tank or a sewer line. The water in the recyclable water tank is subsequently pumped to a sprinkler system or an outdoor faucet. The water is directed to either the sewer line or the storage tank through the use of a valve with a first inlet for accepting water from the drain of the bathtub, a second inlet for accepting water from the overflow drain of the bathtub, a first outlet leading to the sewer line, and a second outlet leading to the recycled water storage tank. The valve is operative for blocking either the first inlet, the first outlet or the said second outlet only, and all other parts remain open. The position of a rotatable element of the valve is controlled by a lever mounted on the bathtub overflow plate. The lever is interconnected to the rotatable element, such that changing the position of the overflow plate lever causes the rotatable element of the valve to change positions.

摘要： A water recycling system for reprocessing and reusing bathing water from a bath or shower. The bathing water recycling system treats and reuses water that overflows from a bathtub or shower pan. The used bathing water is captured and retained after use. The captured dirty water is then filtered and purified. The filtered and purified water can be redistributed back into the shower or bathtub for reuse alone or in combination with additional fresh water. The treated water may also be rewarmed prior to reuse. Unneeded greywater water is redirected to the drain for disposal.
