    摘要: Unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine is added to air-drying liquid film-forming compositions to prevent the compositions from skinning when stored in a sealed container. The proportion of dimethylhydrazine may be from 0.05 to 0.5 per cent. The film-forming compositions may consist of any of the usual drying or semi-drying oils, e.g. linseed oil, tung oil, dehydrated castor oil, soya bean oil, oiticica oil, sunflower oil, perilla oil or cashew nut oil, eithe raw or boiled, heat-blown or otherwise conventionally modified; the esters of acids obtained from such oils and polyhydric alcohols such as glycerol, ethylene glycol, pentaerythritol, dipentaerythritol, sorbitol, mannitol or erythritol; or the pure esters of drying or semi-drying oil fatty acids such as linoleic, oleic, linolenic, ricinoleic or elaeostearic acid with such polyhydric alcohols. The film-forming compositions may also be prepared from drying or semi-drying oilmodified resins such as modified alkyd resins prepared by the esterification of glycerol, phthalic anhydride and drying or semi-drying oil fatty acids; modified phenolic resins prepared by the reaction of cresols, formaldehyde and drying or semi-drying oils; modified esters of rosin or of modified (hydrogenated, isomerized and polymerized) rosins prepared by the esterification of rosin or modified rosin, glycerol or pentaerythritol and drying or semi-drying oil fatty acids. The compositions may also include, if desired, pigments (e.g. titanium dioxide, calcium sulphate, zinc oxide, carbon black, chrome green and iron oxide), resins (e.g. paratertiary butyl- or amyl-phenolformaldehyde, urea formaldehyde, rosin, copal, kauri, congo, manila or dammar) solvents (e.g. butyl alcohol, toluene, turpentine or xylene), thinners such as mineral spirits, and driers (e.g. lead, cobalt or manganese naphthenate, oleate or octoate). Examples which are given all relate to phenolictung oil varnishes containing from 0.1 to 0.4 per cent of unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine.ALSO:Unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine is added to air-drying liquid film-forming compositions to prevent the compositions from skinning when stored in a sealed container. The proportion of dimethyl hydrazine may be from 0.05 to 0.5 per cent.
