A method and an apparatus provide safe access control without the need for supplementary devices. By entering audible words or sounds during a playing of a text of a recorded announcement, a first personal access code based on both the audible uttering and the timing of the audible uttering is generated and stored for authorized users. Subsequently, a second personal access code is generated in the same way when access is sought by a subsequent user seeking access to the facility. The second personal access code is compared with the first personal access code. If the codes correspond in both terms of the audible uttering and the timing of the audible uttering, access is permitted. High security is provided which prevents unauthorized use. The apparatus has a low cost and a low complexity, because no supplementary devices are necessary.

Single error correction in digital memory modules is simply accomplished at any time by dividing the memory module into segments, writing data into the memory module, testing the memory module after a period of time and, on the occurrence of a single error, data correction is entered. This process is repeated until no single error is found. Such single error correction is fast a single error correction is possible without the need for external memory.

The invention proposes a method for detecting loss or malfunctions in a meshed electrical distribution network. The method comprises a step of receiving average measured voltage values and average measured current values associated with one or more points of supply within the electrical distribution network, and a step of receiving average measured voltage values and average measured current values associated with a plurality of points of consumption within the electrical distribution network. Furthermore, the method comprises the step of calculating first conductivity parameters based on said received average measured voltage values and average measured current values and the step of receiving further average measured voltage values and average measured current values associated with said points of supply within the electrical distribution network. Still further the method comprises the steps of receiving further measured average voltage values and average current values associated with said points of consumption within the electrical distribution network and analyzing said further received average measured voltages and average measured currents using said calculated conductivity parameters to detect any deviations of measured currents values from calculated currents values with respect to a given point of consumption or point of supply.

A method for transferring energy between first and second units with first and second meters and subscriptions to first and second backend platforms, as well as a first unit for supporting such energy transfer, where the backend platforms execute an authentication procedure and a switch is unbarred by a first control box upon successful execution of the authentication procedure. A second control box sends an amount of the transferred energy measured by the second meter to the first control box, energy consumption data is sent to the backend platforms, and a consumption clearing procedure is executed between the first and the second units at the backend platforms by means of the received energy consumption data.
