An image reading apparatus may include a cable for connecting one device or component to a controller configured to perform functions and execute instructions. To prevent breakage and stress on the cable, the cable may be fixed to a guide component. For example, the cable may be fixed to the guide component on a first side and be held by the component such that the cable includes a generally U-shaped slacked portion. According to one or more arrangements, the guide component may include an escape portion that allows for the movement of an openable unit of the image reading apparatus. In yet other aspects, the guide component may be attachable/detachable from a main body of the image reading apparatus.

A production equipment includes a substrate 2 placed inside and having a plurality of semiconductor elements 3 mounted thereon, and a resin molding mold 20 having a cavity 21. The mold 20 has resin injection ports 29a and air release ports 30a. Each of the resin injection ports 29a is formed in a top surface portion of the cavity in the mold in association with the corresponding semiconductor element 3. Each of the air release ports 30a is formed around each of the resin injection ports 29a.

An actuator housing located between an external plate and internal plate of a door is electrically and mechanically connected with an ECU housing via water-proof elastic members, which are provided in an opening section of the internal plate and in an outer circumference of the opening section, by the first and the second connector. Further, a box nut provided in the actuator housing and a bracket provided in the ECU housing are connected with each other by a bolt while interposing the internal plate and the water-proof elastic sheet. Due to the foregoing, the mechanical strength of mounting the entire function control unit on the door can be enhanced. Accordingly, even when vibration or shock is given to the inside-door-function control unit while the door is being opened and closed or the vehicle is running, it is possible to prevent the inside-door-function control unit from being incompletely mounted on the door.

In an apparatus for operating and monitoring a plant, a manipulating device provides the plant with manipulation signals for operating the plant. In response to information supplied from the plant and a manipulating signal of the manipulating device, a first display data producing device produces first display data needed for the operation of the plant changing every moment. On the basis of data supplied from the first display data producing device, a first display device displays information relating to the operation of the plant. In response to information supplied from the plant and a manipulating signal of the manipulating device, a second display data producing device produces data needed for monitoring the plant. On the basis of data supplied from the second display data producing device, a second display device displays information relating to the monitoring of the plant on a larger display screen than that of the first display device. Information displayed by the first display device and information displayed by the second display device complement each other and make it possible to accurately operate and monitor the plant.
