Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for performing operations comprising: displaying one or more virtual objects at a first virtual coordinate associated with a first portion of a real-world environment while the eyewear device is directed towards the first portion of the real-world environment; determining that the eyewear device has been moved to be directed towards a second portion of the real-world environment; maintaining the display of the one or more virtual objects at the first virtual coordinate while the eyewear device is directed towards the second portion of the real-world environment; receiving, by the one or more processors, a request to bring the one or more virtual objects into a current view of the eyewear device; and in response to receiving the request, moving the one or more virtual objects from the first virtual coordinate to a second virtual coordinate associated with the second portion of the real-world environment.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a method for rendering a virtual object in a real-world environment depicted in image content based on contextual information. A virtual object template is selected. One or more stylizations for the virtual object template are determined based on contextual information associated with a computing device. A virtual object is generated by applying the one or more stylizations to the virtual object template. The virtual object is rendered within a 3D space captured within a camera feed of the computing device.

Abstract: The subject technology generates a segmentation mask based on first image data. The subject technology applies the segmentation mask on first depth data to reduce a set of artifacts in a depth map based on the first depth data. The subject technology generates a packed depth map based at least in part on the depth map. The subject technology converts a single channel floating point texture to a raw depth map. The subject technology generates multiple channels. The subject technology applies, to the first image data and the first depth data, a first augmented reality content generator corresponding to a selected first selectable graphical item, the first image data and the first depth data being captured with a camera. The subject technology generates a message including the applied first augmented reality content generator to the first image data and the first depth data.

Abstract: Examples disclosed herein describe techniques related to automated image generation in an interaction system. An image generation request is received from a first user device associated with a first user of an interaction system. The image generation request comprises a text prompt. Responsive to receiving the image generation request, an image is automatically generated by an automated text-to-image generator, based on the text prompt. The image is caused to be presented on the first user device. An indication of user input to select the image is received from the user device. Responsive to receiving the indication of the user input to select the image, the image is associated with the first user within the interaction system, and a second user of the interaction system is enabled to be presented with the image.

Abstract: Example systems, devices, media, and methods are described for controlling virtual elements or graphical elements on a display in response to hand gestures detected by an eyewear device that is capturing frames of video data with its camera system. An image processing system detects a series of hand shapes in the video data and determines whether it matches a predefined series of hand gestures. Each predefined series of hand gestures is associated with an action. The system controls movement of the virtual element, relative to the display, in accordance with the associated action. In an example hand shape that includes a thumb sliding along an extended finger, the system establishes a finger scale along the extended finger, calibrates a graphical scale with the finger scale, and controls movement of an interactive graphical element, such as a slider, according to the current thumb position relative to the calibrated graphical scale.

Within the preview interface, a 3D caption based on the one or more text characters is rendered at a position in a 3D space captured within the camera feed. A message is generated that includes the 3D caption rendered at the position in the 3D space captured within the camera feed.

In another aspect, a user may customize a chatbot to create a personal chatbot having a persona. Abstract: A user interface comprising a message composition area is presented at a user device. Commencement of a resizing gesture is detected. A location of the resizing gesture within the user interface is tracked while the resizing gesture is in progress. The location of the resizing gesture is adjustable to cause resizing of message content in the message composition area. Responsive to detecting ending of the resizing gesture, a size of the message content is checked. Transmission of the message content to a recipient is based on a size of the message content relative to a base size.
