摘要: A digital encoder for use with digital luminance and chrominance signals having black levels includes a level adjusting circuit which adjusts the chrominance and luminance signals to establish a predetermined relationship between the black levels of the level-adjusted chrominance and luminance signals, a chrominance signal with a predetermined relatively large dynamic range thereof modulating circuit which generates a modulated chrominance signal from the level-adjusted chrominance signal, an adding circuit which receives the modulated chrominance signal and the level-adjusted luminance signal and provides an encoded color video signal therefrom, an attenuator circuit which attenuates the encoded color video signal and a circuit for combining sync and burst signals with the attenuated encoded color video signal and with a predetermined pedestal level to provide a composite color video signal within the predetermined dynamic range.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a solid state image sensor comprising a charge transfer device such as a charge coupled device (CCD), wherein an improved arrangement of transfer electrodes is provided for the charge transfer device therein and the number of effective sensing elements for performing practically the image sensing operation can be altered in accordance with the manner of supplying a driving signal to the transfer electrodes, so that either one of different television signals, for example, color television signals according to the NTSC system and the PAL or SECAM system, can be selectively produced thereby.

摘要: A digital color encoder for a television camera in which during digitally modulating a carrier of 3f.sub.sc (f.sub.sc is a color subcarrier frequency) with a digital color signal which is obtained by sampling input video information data at a sampling pulse rate having a frequency of 3(n/m)f.sub.sc (with m and n being relatively small integers) at N line the digital color signal is amplitude modulated by 3-phase modulation vectors each having a phase difference of 2/3.pi. from each other so as to produce a digitally modulated color signal. At N+1 line, the digital color signal is amplitude modulated by the 3-phase modulation vectors each having a phase opposite to that at the N line so as to produce an output of N+1 line which is then phase inverted to provide a digital modulated color signal. Thus, a digital color television signal with color phase having the standard television signal format is obtained.

摘要: A solid state television camera with a pattern generator is disclosed for permitting a character display in a portion of a television picture. Both a solid state image sensor and a pattern generator are driven by the same synchronizing signal generator. A pattern signal generated by the character generator is superimposed upon or replaces a portion of the picked up image signal so that the pattern can be inserted into the picture.

摘要: A signal processing system is disclosed for a color television camera having a line-sequential type color coding filter provided in a light path of an object image. An image pick-up device has the object image focused thereon and connects to circuitry for creating a line sequential type color output signal. First and second delay circuits are provided for delaying the output signal and a mixing circuit is provided for mixing the delayed color output signal and an undelayed color output signal to obtain a mixed signal which forms a portion of a luminance signal of the color television camera. Another portion of the luminance signal is derived from an output from the first delay circuit. Preferably the color output signal represents first and second colors such as red and blue and another line-by-line color signal is created for a third color such as green, the green color signal being delayed in a third delay circuit and forming another portion of the luminance signal.

摘要: A solid state television camera having a solid state image sensor onto which an image of an object is projected, a sampling hold circuit supplied with an output signal derived from the solid state image sensor, a level detecting circuit for the derived output signal, and a control circuit supplied with an output signal from the level detecting circuit in which a detecting level is selected as a predetermined level at a reference time which differs from the arrival time of the sampling signal by a predetermined time interval. The solid state television camera can remove noise caused by defects in the solid state image sensor by a defect compensating operation.

摘要: A solid state television camera which is free from the noise caused by defects in semiconductor substrate is disclosed. A solid state image sensor having a plurality of picture elements aligned in vertical and horizontal direction is provided to derive a picked up output signal. A memory device is also provided which has a plurality of memory cells of the same arrangement as the image sensor. A mask is provided in front of the memory device, and the mask has an opaque pattern upon receipt of a light corresponding to a defect position of the image sensor. The image sensor and the memory are driven simultaneously, and the reading out of the signal from the image sensor is controlled by the readout signal from the memory which is corresponding to the defect position of the image sensor.

摘要: A solid state television camera which is free from the noise caused by defects in semiconductor substrate is disclosed. Solid state image sensors derive a plurality of picked up signals. Detectors detect the noise in the picked up signals when the image sensors pick up an image of a reference object, and these detected signals are temporarily stored in a memory which memorizes the noise signals derived by the detectors. Sampling hold circuits which are supplied with the picked up signals are controlled by the memorized signals corresponding to the noise to remove the noise from the picked up signals.

摘要: A solid state television camera with a noise eliminating circuit includes a solid state image sensor of semiconductor material to provide an output signal in correspondence to the image of an object projected thereon; a memory to memorize the positions of crystal defects in the semiconductor material; and a control circuit responsive to the output of the memory for eliminating from the output signal of the solid state image sensor noise due to crystal defects in the semiconductor material. The position of the first of the crystal defects encountered in the raster is determined by the distance, measured either along the successive scanning lines or along the orthogonal axes of the raster, between a reference point and such first crystal defect and that distance is encoded and memorized in the memory. The position of any other crystal defect is determined by the similarly measured distance between such other crystal defect and the crystal defect prior thereto, which distance is also encoded and memorized in the memory.
