    Abstract: A curved display device includes: a substrate including a display area; a plurality of thin film transistors disposed on the substrate; a plurality of pixel electrodes respectively connected to the plurality of thin film transistors; a liquid crystal layer disposed on the pixel electrodes and filling a plurality of microcavities; a common electrode facing the plurality of pixel electrodes and separated with the plurality of microcavities; and a roof layer formed on the common electrode. The plurality of microcavities are formed in a matrix form including a plurality of columns and rows, and the display area includes an edge portion and a center portion. A first height of the plurality of microcavities formed at the edge portion of the display area is lower than that a second height of the plurality of microcavities formed at the center portion of the display area. An area of a pixel disposed at the edge portion of the display area may be adjusted such that light leakage and spots at the edge portion may be improved.

The light detection element and the photovoltaic element are located at the same layer as each other, the light detection element is to detect an external input based on incident light from the outside, and the photovoltaic element is to generate electrical energy based on the incident light.

    Abstract: A display device includes a plurality of light emitting elements which emits a blue light; a light control layer disposed on the light emitting elements and including: a first light control part which absorb the blue light and emits a red light; a second light control part which absorbs the blue light and emits a green light; and a third light control part which transmits the blue light; and a light selective filter disposed on the light control layer. The light selective filter includes a liquid crystal filter and a color filter. The liquid crystal filter transmits red light and green light and blocks blue light.     Abstract: A backlight unit includes a first substrate, a plurality of LED chips on one surface of the first substrate and configured to emit light of a first color, a second substrate located opposite to the one surface of the first substrate, and a plurality of light modulation patterns on one surface of the second substrate facing the one surface of the first substrate so as to overlap the plurality of LED chips, respectively. Each of the plurality of light modulation patterns includes a first wavelength conversion pattern that converts the light of the first color into light of a second color. The first wavelength conversion pattern includes a first wavelength conversion layer on the one surface of the second substrate, a first organic encapsulation layer on the first wavelength conversion layer, and a barrier structure covering the first wavelength conversion layer and the first organic encapsulation layer.

    Abstract: Embodiments provide a display device including: a thin film transistor disposed on an insulation substrate including a plurality of pixels; a common electrode and a pixel electrode disposed on the thin film transistor to overlap each other while interposing an insulating layer therebetween; a liquid crystal layer filling microcavities differentiated by pixel electrodes, the pixel electrodes comprising the pixel electrode; and a roof layer that is disposed on a microcavity of the microcavities and includes an injection hole extending to the microcavity and a supporting member to support the microcavity; and an optical member disposed on the supporting member, wherein the injection hole is disposed between adjacent microcavities in a column direction, and the supporting member is disposed between adjacent microcavities in a row direction. Total reflection of light, bad alignment, and light leakage which may occur in the display device may be prevented by the optical member.
