An image processing method and an electronic device implementing the method are provided. The method includes the electronic device sequentially receiving an image captured by a camera and determining whether a frame of the received image satisfies a predetermined condition. If the predetermined condition is satisfied, the electronic device recognizes an object in the frame. Then the electronic device tracks the object in the frame through tracking data created based on a feature extracted from the recognized object.

A wearable device performing a call using a virtual object and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. A wearable device according to an embodiment of the disclosure may comprise: a display, memory, and a processor comprising processing circuitry. The memory may store instructions that may be executed by the processor, and at least one processor, individually and/or collectively, is configured to cause the wearable device to: obtain a first input for sending a call, based on the first input, control the display to display a first virtual object corresponding to a counterpart of the call to a user wearing the wearable device, obtain a second input for moving the first virtual object to a designated position in a real world or virtual reality, and perform the call with the counterpart based on the second input.

The electronic device includes at least one communication circuit, a display, a speaker, a memory, and a processor electrically connected to the communication circuit, the display, the memory and the speaker. The processor is configured to receive a message that includes one or more items of a link or content through the at least one communication circuit, parse the message in order to recognize the one or more items, extract or receive content from the one or more items or from an external resource related to the one or more items, convert the message into at least one of a speech, a sound, an image, a video, and data according to at least one of the parsed message and the extracted or received content, and provide at least one of the speech, the sound, the image, the video, and the data to the speaker or the at least one communication circuit.

An electronic device and a method for using speech recognition are provided. The electronic device includes an input device, a touch screen display, a processor, and a memory. The memory stores a first software program that can be triggered in response to a first user input, and instructions which when executed by the processor, configures the processor to control for receiving a second user input that is different from the first user input through the input device and a selected region on the display, switching the electronic device to a state where the electronic device can receive a speech through the microphone in response to the second user input, receiving the speech from an external source through the microphone in the state, and executing the first software program using at least a part of the received speech without receiving the first user input.
