    Abstract: An optical scanner includes at least one light source configured to emit light, a steering unit configured to perform scanning in a first direction based on the light emitted from the at least one light source, and a polygon mirror configured to perform, by using the light output from the steering unit, scanning in a second direction different than the first direction based on a rotation of the polygon mirror. The steering unit includes a plurality of first prisms, and each of the plurality of first prisms includes an incident facet configured to pass the light emitted from the at least one light source, and an output facet configured to refract and output the light. The polygon mirror includes a plurality of reflective facets, and each of the plurality of reflective facets is configured to that reflect the light output from the steering unit.

    Abstract: A light detection device may include: a light receiver comprising a plurality of light detectors configured to receive light emitted from a light emitter toward an object and reflected by the object; and a signal processor configured to process an electrical signal according to the light received by the light receiver. The light receiver includes at least one light receiving area, wherein each of the at least one light receiving area includes a plurality of sub-light receiving areas, and the plurality of light detectors are disposed in the plurality of sub-light receiving areas, respectively. The signal processor includes a plurality of transimpedance amplifiers that have a one-on-one correspondence with the plurality of light detectors, and at least one signal summer that has the one-on-one correspondence with the at least one light receiving area.

    Abstract: A light detection and ranging (LiDAR) apparatus with a wide viewing angle includes: a first rotatable mirror array including a first plurality of inclined mirrors arranged in a circumferential direction; a plurality of light sources configured to emit light toward the first rotatable mirror array; a second rotatable mirror array including a second plurality of inclined mirrors arranged in the circumferential direction, the second rotatable mirror array facing the first rotatable mirror array to reflect the light reflected by the first rotatable mirror array to an outside of the LiDAR apparatus; and a photodetector configured to detect the light reflected by the second rotatable mirror array, wherein the plurality of light sources may be provided in a plurality of sections into which an angle range of 180 degrees or more is divided in equal intervals in the circumferential direction.
