    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to communication systems, and more particularly, to single-carrier waveform generation for transmission. An exemplary method generally includes concatenating a first sequence of data samples with samples of a known sequence to generate a first series of samples, performing a discrete Fourier transform (DFT) on the first series of samples to generate a first series of frequency-domain samples, mapping the first series of frequency-domain samples and first zero values to first tones of a system bandwidth, performing an inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT) on the mapped first series of frequency-domain samples and the mapped first zero values to generate first time-domain samples of a first orthogonal frequency domain multiplexing (OFDM) symbol, and transmitting the first OFDM symbol as a single-carrier waveform in a first period.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to communications in a network that supports data transmitted in an unlicensed frequency band and a licensed frequency band are provided. A first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, a configuration indicating a first resource in an unlicensed frequency band and a second resource in a licensed band. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device in the unlicensed frequency band, a first communication signal based on the configuration. The first wireless communication device communicates with the second wireless communication device in the licensed frequency band, a second communication signal based on at least one of a channel status of the unlicensed frequency band or a transmission parameter associated with at least one of the first communication signal or the second communication signal.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for refinement of receive beam beamforming parameters at a user equipment (UE). A UE may transmit two or more signals in an uplink transmission that have different beamforming parameters. A base station receiving the uplink transmission may measure the two or more signals, and identify a first signal of the two or more signals based at least in part on the measuring. The base station may inform the UE of the identified first signal, which the UE may use to set receive beam beamforming parameters for one or more subsequent downlink transmissions.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless node may transmit directional signals in a sweeping transmission pattern while receiving communications from a second wireless node. Another wireless node may then, during a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure, receive one of the directional signals, and terminate a correspondence communication session to avoid potential interference. Additionally or alternatively, a wireless node may listen in directions in a sweeping receive pattern while transmitting to a second wireless node. While listening, the wireless node may detect a transmission from a third wireless node in a particular direction. The wireless node may then accordingly refrain from transmitting in that direction to avoid potential interference.
