Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a base station may develop a number of different predictive models for each of a number of different functions. The different functions may be used to determine various beamforming parameters for beamformed communications between a user equipment (UE) and a base station. The base station may provide the models to a UE, and the UE may then use such models to determine values for one or more beamforming parameters. A same function (e.g., a beam prediction function to identify a transmit/receive beam for communications) may have multiple different models, which may be provided to the UE by the base station, which may be used based on particular channel conditions or locations of a UE. The UE or base station may select which model of the multiple predictive models is to be used for communications.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a plurality of communications from a corresponding plurality of transmission/reception points (TRPs) included in a coordinated multipoint network. At least two communications, of the plurality of communications, may have different redundancy versions from a common codebook, and may be received in a same transmission time interval (TTI). The UE may decode the plurality of communications using joint decoding. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to scheduling communications in a network are provided. A wireless communication device communicates a semi-persistent schedule (SPS) for communicating with a group of wireless communication devices, the SPS including a plurality of resource allocations spaced apart in time. The first wireless communication device identifies a first resource allocation for at least a subset of the group of wireless communication devices based on a missed resource allocation of the plurality of resource allocations associated with a failed listen-before-talk (LBT). Additionally, the wireless communication device communicates with at least the subset of the group of wireless communication devices, communication signals based on the first resource allocation.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided in which a scheduling entity determines a first direction of a backhaul link traffic between a first scheduling entity and a second scheduling entity, and determines a second direction of an access link traffic between the scheduling entity and a user equipment (UE) based on the first direction of the backhaul link traffic to reduce potential interference caused by the access link traffic. The scheduling entity transmits or receives the access link traffic in the second direction utilizing at least one of a same transmission resource of the backhaul lick traffic. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for determining sidelink channel metrics using reference signal measurements of reference signals transmitted by other UEs. A first UE may receive a control message from a base station, and the control message may indicate a measurement threshold. The first UE may generate a reference signal measurement of a reference signal transmitted by a second UE via a sidelink channel between the first UE and the second UE. The UE may transmit a measurement report to the base station based at least in part on the measurement satisfying the threshold. The report may be a quantized value of the measurement or a bit indicating that the measurement satisfies the threshold. Based on receipt of the measurement report, the base station may determine to transmit data to the second UE via a transmission to the first UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In one example, a first user equipment (UE) identifies a trigger condition associated with a first communication link with a base station and establishes a second communication link with a second UE. The UE may transmit a relay request to the second UE based on the trigger condition, wherein the relay request instructs the second UE to relay communications for the first UE. The first UE communicates with the base station via the second communication link. In another example, a base station establishes communication links with a first and second UE. The base station receives a data forwarding request that instructs the base station to use the second UE to relay communications between it and the first UE. The base station communicates with the first UE via the second communication link based at least in part on the relay request.

Abstract: Traffic in a first cell may experience interference from or may cause interference to traffic in an adjacent cell, which may lead to undesirable performance in one or both of the first cell and the adjacent cell. For example, a user equipment (UE) near an edge of the first cell may experience appreciable interference based on the reuse of resources. Accordingly, for transmissions in adjacent cells over a same band or sub-band, one UE may need to reduce transmit power in order to yield to another UE in an adjacent cells. An apparatus may be configured to determine first traffic associated with a first priority and second traffic associated with a second priority. The apparatus may be further configured to assign, based on the first priority and second priority, a first set of resources to the first traffic and a second set of resources to the second traffic.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE determines a second set of resource block pairs on which to transmit a peer discovery message in a second time cycle based on a mapping of a first set of resource block pairs in a first time cycle to the second set of resource block pairs in the second time cycle. The mapping is a one-to-one mapping between each resource block pair in the first set of resource block pairs to a corresponding resource block pair in the second set of resource block pairs. Resource block pairs in the first set of resource block pairs may be in adjacent allocated resources. The UE transmits the peer discovery message in the determined second set of resource block pairs.
