Abstract: In an aspect, a method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes determining that a positioning model error instance has occurred during a positioning occasion based on 1) a position uncertainty associated with a first position estimate satisfying positioning uncertainty error criteria, wherein the first position estimate is obtained during the positioning occasion by applying a first positioning model to radio frequency fingerprint (RFFP) measurements, 2) a positioning mismatch between the first position estimate of the UE and a second position estimate of the UE satisfying position mismatch error criteria, wherein the second position estimate of the UE is obtained during the positioning occasion by performing a positioning technique that does not use the first positioning model, or 3) any combination thereof; and determining that the first positioning model has failed based on a number of positioning model error instances satisfying positioning model failure criteria.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a communications device determines at least one position estimation performance parameter, determines a zone identifier based at least in part upon the at least one position estimation performance parameter, wherein the zone identifier identifies one of a plurality of zones, and transmits the zone identifier to one or more UEs. A UE receives the zone identifier, determines the at least one position estimation performance parameter, selects one or more candidate UEs for the sidelink-assisted position estimation procedure based at least in part upon the at least one position estimation performance parameter, and performs the sidelink-assisted position estimation procedure of the UE with at least the selected one or more candidate UEs.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for sensing calibration. In an aspect, a communications device obtains a set of attributes associated with a radio frequency for sensing (RF-S) calibration target, obtains measurement information associated with a RF-S calibration procedure between a first set of wireless sensing nodes and the RF-S calibration target, and determines a set of RF-S calibration compensations based on the measurement information and the set of attributes. In another aspect, a communications device determines a location of a target object based on the set of RF-S calibration compensations.

Abstract: The described techniques relate to improved methods, systems, devices, and apparatuses that support communications during cell inactive communication periods. For example, some of the described techniques may provide for opportunistic communication during discontinuous reception (DRX) and/or discontinuous transmission (DTX) periods. Because connected user equipments (UEs) may transmit and receive some permitted signaling during an inactive communication period (e.g., in an inactive duration of cell DTX/DRX), the cell is utilizing communication resources in one or more occasions during inactive communication periods. One or more UEs may accordingly opportunistically utilize the one or more occasions to perform other communications that are otherwise restricted during the inactive communication period. For example, a UE may utilize an opportunity to transmit one or more restricted signals, reports, or channel messages to the cell, or to receive one or more restricted signals or channel messages from the cell.
