Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, which may be otherwise known as user equipment (UE), may receive a data transmission and determine a slot to transmit a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback based on the data transmission. The communication device may determine one or more HARQ feedback resources or one or more HARQ feedback resource sets in the slot to transmit the HARQ feedback, where the one or more hybrid automatic repeat request feedback resources or the one or more hybrid automatic repeat request feedback resource sets in the slot comprises a set of frequency resources associated with the slot, and transmit the HARQ feedback using the one or more HARQ feedback resources or the one or more HARQ feedback resource sets in the slot.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for radar-assisted beam failure. A second wireless device may transmit, to a first wireless device, a configuration to monitor for a potential obstruction for a set of one or more beams for the wireless communication with the second wireless. The first wireless device may receive, from the second wireless device, the configuration to monitor for the potential obstruction for the set of one or more beams for the wireless communication with the second wireless device. The first wireless device may perform radar detection for the potential obstruction to the set of one or more beams for the wireless communication with the second wireless device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently performing and reporting reference signal received power (RSRP) measurements. In particular, the techniques described herein may allow a user equipment (UE) to efficiently identify reference signals on which to perform RSRP measurements (e.g., based on signaling from a base station), identify when to report RSRP measurements (e.g., aperiodically, periodically, or semi-persistently), and identify a channel on which to report RSRP measurements (e.g., a sidelink channel or an uplink channel). In addition, the techniques described herein may also allow a UE to efficiently identify open loop parameters to use to determine an appropriate transmit power for transmitting to another UE over a sidelink.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device supports sidelink communications, including device-to-device (D2D) communications and vehicle-based communications. The communication device receives, from another device, a discontinuous transmission (DTX) configuration for a sidelink connection between the communications device and the other device. Based on the received DTX configuration, the communications device determines a discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration and transmit, to the other device, the determined DRX configuration. The devices experience power savings, among other results according to the DTX configuration or the DRX configuration.

Abstract: Aspects relate cross-pool resource reservations of resources for sidelink-positioning reference signals (SL-PRS). A wireless communication device can transmit a first SL-PRS resource reservation message within resources in a SL communication resource pool. The first SL-PRS resource reservation message may identify a first SL-PRS resource within a SL-PRS resource pool. The wireless communication device can also transmit a first SL-PRS in the first SL-PRS resource within the SL-PRS resource pool. The wireless communication device can also receive a second SL-PRS resource reservation message within resources in the SL communication resource pool. The second SL-PRS resource reservation message may identify a second SL-PRS resource within the SL-PRS resource pool. The wireless communication device may then receive a second SL-PRS in second SL-PRS resource within the SL-PRS resource pool. The SL communication resource pool may be different from the SL-PRS resource pool.

Abstract: A sidelink user equipment (UE) limits sensing of received sidelink communications during a sensing window. The UE selects resources for a future transmission from a resource pool that is based on the sensed received sidelink communications. The UE also sends the future transmission on the selected resources. Limiting sensing may result from reducing a maximum distance between reservations to less than 32 logical slots. Limiting sensing may be sensing with a reduced sensing duty cycle with discontinuous sensing or sensing for a period of time in response to a trigger. The UE may perform partial sensing for periodic traffic, and limit sensing for aperiodic traffic.
