Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure are directed to interference cancellation. A method of performing interference cancellation in a wireless device having a transmitter and a receiver includes enabling a radio frequency (RF) receive filter for a victim band from a plurality of RF receive filters in a receive path; measuring an RF filter characteristic of the enabled RF receive filter with an auxiliary receiver; configuring a programmable digital filter to match a filter characteristic to the measured RF filter characteristic to yield a reference signal; and providing the reference signal to the receive path for interference cancellation; and, the reference signal is subtracted from a receive signal in the receive path.
Abstract:
Techniques for compensating for self-induced interference in a small cell base station are provided. The techniques include detecting control signals from a neighboring base station associated with a wireless communication network, the control signals being transmitted by the neighboring base station at predetermined intervals, and compensating for self-induced interference caused by a transmitter of the small cell base station transmitting during the predetermined intervals in which control signals are received from the neighboring base station and the transmitter of the small cell base station is transmitting data.
Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure are directed to interference cancellation and wireless communication. A method of performing analog interference cancellation in a wireless communications device having a transmitter and a receiver includes receiving a reference signal representative of an interfering signal transmitted by the transmitter, selecting a first target interference type from one of a plurality of interference types affecting a an RF signal received by the receiver, configuring a first filter of an interference cancellation circuit using a coefficient computed based on the first target interference type, and cancelling interference in the RF signal using an output of the first filter. Coefficient computation may be performed in a switched manner between analog and digital domain, simultaneously in multiple domains, or in a cascaded manner that provides digital interference cancellation.
Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure are directed to interference cancellation and wireless communication. An analog active interference cancellation circuit may be configured to cancel in-device interference corresponding to transmissions from a transmitter at a wireless communication device, which affects the performance of a receiver at the wireless communication device. The interference cancellation circuit may be configured according to one or more digital coefficients calculated based on a baseband downconverted from the RF output of the receiver. That is, the digital coefficient may be converted to an analog coefficient and applied to the interference cancellation circuit.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described that provide for parameter adjustment for devices. A device may register a user profile associated with a user. During registration an image of the user may be captured and analyzed, such as to determine a size of facial features for the user. Also, during registration, metrics may be input or determined such as the age of the user or any sensory sensitivities. The device may capture a second image of the user. The second image may be compared to the first in order to determine the current distance between the user's face and the device. Comparing the first and second image may include comparing the size of corresponding facial features in each image, such as measured in pixels. Multiple images may be used for the first or second images. Based on contextual conditions and the distance, the device may adjust a sensory-related parameter.

Abstract:
A method of performing interference cancellation (IC) in a communication device having a plurality of transmitters and a plurality of receivers includes detecting a co-existence issue between a first transmitter and a first receiver; selecting the first transmitter for providing an input signal to IC circuit; selecting the first receiver, wherein each of the receivers has a corresponding filter, the first receiver having a filter for filtering a signal received by the first receiver to provide a first filtered signal; configuring the IC circuit based on parameters of the co-existence issue; generating an output signal based on the input signal and the parameters; selecting a filter, based on the filter of the first receiver, the selected filter configured to filter the output signal to provide a second filtered signal; and generating a cancellation signal based on the first and second filtered signals.
