摘要: Various communication systems may benefit from the appropriate control of the timing of communication. For example, certain wireless communication systems may benefit from packet data convergence protocol windows, for example in the case of split bearers being in use. A method can include transmitting a plurality of protocol data units over a bearer mapped to a plurality of logical channels. The protocol data units can be transmitted in a radio link control unacknowledged mode. The method can also include managing at least one transmission characteristic of the transmitted plurality of protocol data units.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to determination of terminal device's identify. A terminal device determines an identity (ID) of the terminal device based on configuration status of extended Discontinuous Reception (eDRX) and current Radio Resource Control (RRC) state of the terminal device; and determines one or both of paging frame (PF) and paging occasion (PO) based on the determined ID of the terminal device. In this way, paging in the eDRX can work well in RRC idle state or RRC inactive state, and the network and the UE may be synchronized with UE's PF and PO for paging in the eDRX.

摘要: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for reducing latency in 5G/NR are provided. One method may include determining, by a network node, to apply selective reordering of one or more data units received at a user equipment, and indicating the decision to apply selective reordering to the user equipment. The selective reordering temporarily alters packet data convergence protocol window behaviour in the user equipment such that a packet data convergence protocol layer in the user equipment is caused to deliver, to upper layer(s), the stored data units with an associated count value that is less than the count value associated with a data unit at the user equipment and/or the stored data units with consecutively associated count values starting from the count value associated with a data unit at the user equipment.

摘要: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to UP transmission for a device in an inactive state. The first device in an inactive state performs a small data transmission procedure between the first device and a second device and transmits an indication to the second device. The indication indicates the following a presence of non-small data transmission data to be transmitted by the first device and information associated with the data. Through this solution, the second device may make a proper and reasonable determination about whether to resume a radio resource control connection with the terminal device and whether to stop the ongoing small data transmission procedure.

摘要: Apparatuses, methods and software are provided. The first apparatus comprises at least one processor; and at least one memory including computer program codes; the at least one memory and the computer program codes are configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the device at least to transmit a transport block of a HARQ process on preconfigured resources for an uplink transmission to a second apparatus while starting a first timer and a second timer for the HARQ process. The first timer indicates a time period during which the transport block is able to be retransmitted, and wherein the second timer is configured to expire before the first timer; monitor a response associated with the transport block from the second apparatus; and in response to the second timer expiring before receiving the response and before expiry of the first timer, retransmit the transport block while restarting the second timer.

The beam quality of those target beams is determined along with beam quality of one or more other beams of the target cell. Dedicated uplink resources associated with the target beams and shared uplink resources are associated with the other beams.
