    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods in a communication system are disclosed. User equipment transmits a connection request to a radio access node, indicating to the radio access node that the apparatus supports resume or setup to a radio access node of a different system or different frequency range. The user equipment receives instructions to switch to a radio access node of a different system or a radio access node utilising a different frequency range and performs random access procedure followed by a radio resource control complete message transmission to the instructed radio access node.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for configured grant small data transmission reconfiguration without user equipment context in a distributed unit are provided. For example, a method can include receiving, at a first network element, data in a transmission from a user equipment. The method can also include storing a first indication of a first configuration used by the user equipment to perform the transmission. The method can further include sending, to a second network element, a resume request to set up communication context for the data transmission. The method can additionally include receiving, from the second network element, a second indication of a second configuration previously allocated to the user equipment. The method can also include comparing the first indication and the second indication. The method can further include proceeding with setting up the communication of the data based on the comparing.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for improved signaling of small data transmission (SDT) are provided. One method may include storing, at a first target network node, a user equipment (UE)-specific uplink (UL) small data transmission (SDT) context for a user equipment (UE) in a non-connected radio resource control (RRC) state that previously had initiated a small data transmission (SDT) procedure without anchor relocation via the first target network node or a second target network node. The method may also include performing radio link control (RLC) processing of the radio link control (RLC) protocol data units (PDUs) received from the user equipment (UE) using the stored user equipment (UE)-specific uplink (UL) small data transmission (SDT) context.

    Abstract: A method for a network element, NE, is proposed, which comprises receiving from a user equipment, UE, at least one of a BSR or an uplink MAC-CE; determining to perform an L1 based handover for the UE; and sending an L1 based handover command to the UE. Another method for a UE is proposed, which comprises receiving an L1/L2 mobility configuration; deciding that there is an L1 CSI report to send; determining whether the UE has an UL grant; if it is determined that the UE has an UL grant, the method further comprises: sending at least one of a BSR or an UL MAC-CE to a NE; if it is determined that the UE does not have an UL grant, the method further comprises: sending a dedicated SR to a NE indicating that an L1 CSI report is pending; receiving a scheduling grant from the NE; and sending the L1 CSI report to the NE based on the scheduling grant; and receiving an L1 based handover command from the NE.
