    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide an electronic device including a transceiver and processing circuitry. The transceiver can be configured to wirelessly receive at least one signal from a network including a first cell. The at least one signal can indicate a link quality of a wireless link formed between the electronic device and the base station in a first cell. The processing circuitry can be configured to determine whether beam failure occurs on the first cell based on at least one signal quality of the at least one signal. When the beam failure is determined to occur on the first cell, the processing circuitry can be configured to report information of the first cell to the network indicating the beam failure on the first cell.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for configuring application of TCI state to an RS. In one novel aspect, an RRC configuration is introduced for indicating to the UE whether to apply an indicated TCI state to an RS. In particular, a BS can transmit an RRC configuration of an RS to a UE. The UE can receive the RRC configuration from the BS. The BS can transmit an indication of one or more TCI states to the UE. The UE can receive the indication of the one or more TCI states from the BS. The UE can determine whether to apply the TCI state to the RS according to the RRC configuration.

    Abstract: In one novel aspect, configurations for PDCCH transmission and reception with multiple transmission points are provided. The UE configures a PDCCH associated with a CORSET comprising multiple CCEs, partitions the CORSET into multiple TCI-state sets, wherein each TCI state set includes multiple CCE groups associated with corresponding TCI-state, which corresponds to a source TRP, activates one TCI state set, and receives DCI via the PDCCH, wherein the PDCCH is transmitted from at least the first source TRP and the second source TRP, and wherein each source TRP transmits corresponding portion of DCI data mapping to the corresponding first and second CCE group. The CORSET is partitioned in FDM or TDM way. In another novel aspect, a first and a second PDCCH associated with a first and a second TRP are configured for repetition transmission. The second PDCCH configuration is dependent upon the first PDCCH configuration.

    Abstract: A method of default Quasi-Co-Location (QCL) assumption for Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) reception in NR network is proposed. When PDSCH is scheduled by a DCI over PDCCH after a Scheduling Offset, the spatial RX filter for the PDSCH reception can be determined according to a QCL indication conveyed by the DCI. When the Scheduling Offset for PDSCH reception scheduled by DCI is less than a time duration, then a default QCL assumption is applied. UE assumes that the DMRS ports of PDSCH of a serving cell are QCLed with the RS(s) with respect to QCL parameter(s) used for PDCCH QCL indication of a CORESET. The CORESET is associated with a UE-monitored search space in the latest slot with the lowest CORESET-IF on an active BWP on the serving cell.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a method for reception of simultaneously transmitted downlink channels having different spatial quasi-co-location (sQCL) assumptions. The method can include receiving a configuration specifying a control resource set (CORESET) monitoring occasion of a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) at a user equipment (UE), receiving a second PDCCH scheduling or activating transmission of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) at the UE, determining whether the PDSCH overlaps the first PDCCH in time domain, determining whether a first spatial quasi-co-location (sQCL) assumption for reception of the first PDCCH and a second sQCL assumption for reception of the PDSCH are different, and prioritizing the reception of the first PDCCH when the PDSCH overlaps the first PDCCH in time domain and the first and second sQCL assumptions are different.
