    Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE determines that reference signals are transmitted from L antenna ports of a base station on reference time-frequency resources. The UE receives first RF signals at Nr1 physical antennas on first time-frequency resources. The first RF signals carries the reference signals. Nr1 and L are positive integers. Nr1 is less than L. The UE receives second RF signals at Nr2 physical antennas on second time-frequency resources. The second RF signals carries the reference signals. Nr2 is a positive integer and less than L. The UE obtains channel state measurements corresponding to the reference signals based on baseband signals derived from the first RF signals and the second RF signals. The UE generates a CSI report based on the channel state measurements.

    Abstract: Examples pertaining to precoding-matched channel state information (CSI) feedback in mobile communications are described. An apparatus (e.g., UE) beamforms one or more of a plurality of ports used in reception of a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) with one or more precoders that are applied on one or more of the plurality of ports used in reception of a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) or a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The apparatus generates a CSI feedback comprising at least a plurality of channel quality indication (CQIs) with respect to a plurality of hypothesized ranks. The apparatus then transmits the CSI feedback to a network.

The UE allocates M1 blind detections of the Q blind detections to be available on each of the N1 component carriers and M2 blind detections of the Q blind detections to be available on each of the N2 component carriers such that (N1*M1+N2*M2) is a largest integer no greater than Q. M2 equals to X*M1. The UE performs blind detections in accordance with the allocations.

    Abstract: Techniques and examples of layer mapping, channel state information (CSI) feedback and hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback in mobile communications are described. A user equipment (UE) receives from a base station one or more reference signals, which may be non-zero power (NZP) or zero power (ZP), on one or more time-frequency resources indicated by a network via a communication link between the UE and the base station. The UE estimates, based on the receiving, a subspace spanned by a channel response of an interfering signal. The UE determines a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) based on the estimated subspace. The UE transmits to the base station a channel state information (CSI) feedback comprising at least the PMI. The PMI may include at least a first precoder and a second precoder.
