    Abstract: Provided method includes receiving, from the source AN, a handover request requesting a handover of an AN of the user equipment, wherein the user equipment is configured with a per node level tunnel for connection to a target user plane function node, and wherein the per node level tunnel is a common connection tunnel which is generated in the node unit for all traffics between the target AN and the target user plane function node, determining whether a service provision through the per node level tunnel is possible, determining whether generation of a new per node level tunnel for the user equipment is necessary when it is determined that service provision is impossible, and generating the new per node level tunnel for the user equipment based on a result of the determination or changing the tunnel model of the user equipment to a different tunnel model.

    Abstract: There is provided a method for a network fault recovery. The method may be performed by a policy and charging rule function (PCRF) node and comprise: transmitting, to a traffic detection function (TDF), a first request for monitoring a session initiation protocol (SIP) based signal to be routed over a first internet protocol (IP) version based network, if a fault of the first IP version-based network is detected; receiving, from the TDF, a report indicating that the SIP based signal is detected; transmitting a first indication for initiating a IP connectivity access network (IP-CAN) session termination procedure to a packet data network gateway (P-GW). Here, the first indication may include a cause value indicating a reactivation is requested such that the P-GW enables a user equipment (UE) to perform a detach procedure and then a reattach procedure.

    Abstract: Provided are a method and device for efficient public land mobile network (PLMN) selection upon authentication failure for each network slice in a roaming network. A user equipment (UE) receives a registration rejection message from an access and mobility management function (AMF) of a first PLMN. The registration rejection message includes rejected network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI) including first single NSSAI (S-NSSAI) and cause value #62 for the rejected NSSAI. The UE: generates second requested NSSAI including second S-NSSAI on the basis that i) the UE does not have allowed NSSAI and configured NSSAI, and ii) default configured NSSAI includes the second S-NSSAI that is not included in the rejected NSSAI and corresponds to a network slice of which the UE requests registration; and transmits a second registration request message including the second requested NSSAI to the AMF of the first PLMN.
