    Abstract: A random access method and device. The method includes receiving, by user equipment, a radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message from a first network device, the RRC connection reconfiguration message indicating a primary serving cell of the second network device for a user equipment, an active uplink bandwidth part (BWP) in the primary serving cell, and an active downlink BWP in the primary serving cell, the RRC connection reconfiguration message includes an uplink BWP identifier indicating the active uplink BWP and a downlink BWP identifier indicating the active downlink BWP, the uplink BWP identifier corresponds to the active uplink BWP, the downlink BWP identifier corresponds to the active downlink BWP, and initiating, by the user equipment, a random access procedure to the second network device on the active uplink BWP and the active downlink BWP.

    Abstract: A signal monitoring method is provided: If the terminal device determines, based on a message received or sent in a first time unit, that the terminal device is not in a DRX active time in a second time unit, the terminal device monitors the power saving signal in the second time unit. The terminal device determines, based on the power saving signal, whether to monitor a PDCCH in a first time interval. The first time unit is located before the second time unit, and is separated from the second time unit by M third time units. M is an integer greater than or equal to 1. The embodiments of this application are applied to a mobile communications system such as 5G NR.

    Abstract: An in-device coexistence (IDC) indication message sending method includes a network device determining, when configuration information sent by the network device indicates that the terminal device can send an IDC indication message, a most proper IDC interference cancellation manner based on SUL frequency information, a type of an interfering frequency, a transmit power of the terminal device, a transmit power of the network device, a priority of a frequency band in which the interfering frequency is located, or an IDC interference cancellation manner expected by the terminal device that are indicated by the IDC indication message sent by the terminal device.

    Abstract: The embodiments of this application disclose an identifier allocation method and apparatus. The method includes: receiving, by a first core network device, a first request from a terminal device; allocating, by the first core network device, a first capability information identifier; and sending, by the first core network device, a first response to the terminal device, where the first response carries the first capability information identifier. Based on this method, the first core network device can allocate a capability information identifier to the terminal device, so that the terminal device can send the capability information identifier instead of capability information to another device, thereby helping save transmission resources for transmitting the capability information.
