Abstract:
An exhaust gas aftertreatment device for internal combustion engines having a catalyzer for the selective catalytic reduction of oxides of nitrogen from exhaust gases of motor vehicle diesel engines, provides overstoichiometric supply of NH.sub.3 or materials releasing NH.sub.3. A first sensor records the NH.sub.3 concentration contained in the exhaust gas and interrupts the supply of the NH.sub.3 quantity when a specified upper threshold value is reached. A second sensor records the NH.sub.3 adsorbed in the catalyzer, by way of which the NH.sub.3 supply is resumed on reaching a specified lower threshold value. Alternatively, only one NH.sub.3 sensor is provided in the exhaust gas aftertreatment device. The NH.sub.3 concentration determined by this single sensor is compared, as the actual value, with a required value corresponding to a specified NH.sub.3 concentration in order to form a correction signal which is used for triggering the metering appliance continuously connected into the gas phase.
Abstract:
A regulation for a gas engine with a rotational speed probe for the crankshaft rotational speed, with a rotational speed-load-ignition angle-performance graph memory read out during each crankshaft rotation, with an ignition pulse generator controlled by the performance graph memory, with a lambda-probe, with a load probe, with a vacuum-controlled gas pressure adjusting device for the propulsion gas and with a flow-mixing device for the propulsion gas and the air. The invention provides a regulation for a gas engine which offers a full utilization of the possibilities of the gas engine above all in lean operation and in the partial load range. A rotational speed-load-lambda-performance graph (36) is provided for producing lambda-desired values. The lambda-desired values readied by the rotational speed-load-lambda-performance graph (36) are compared with the lambda-actual values under formation of a lambda difference value. For the adaptation of the ignition angle to the respective lambda actual value a lambda-difference value-load-ignition angle correction value performance graph (29) produces an ignition angle correction value which is added to the base ignition angle value of the rotational speed-load-ignition angle-performance graph (27), respectively, is subtracted therefrom.
Abstract:
A soot filter arrangement for an exhaust gas flow of an internal combustion engine, especially an air-compressing internal combustion engine. The filter arrangement includes a housing with feed and discharge connections for the exhaust gas stream in a mineral filter material arranged in the housing. The material is provided on a support pipe equipped with passage openings which enable the exhaust gas stream to enter the support pipe in a radial direction and leave the same in an axial direction. Several support pipes are provided at a mutual spacing in a parallel relationship and the filter material includes a thread of spun silicon dioxide fibers wound onto the support pipes.
