    Abstract: A packet header information obtaining method. The method includes: obtaining, by a communications device, a first packet, where the first packet includes a plurality of extension packet headers; and obtaining an extension header self-describing option from the first packet, where the extension header self-describing option is used to indicate information about the plurality of extension packet headers. Therefore, the communications device obtains, based on the extension header self-describing option in the first packet, a first extension packet header included in the plurality of extension packet headers. Packet header information of the extension packet header in the first packet can be obtained by using the extension header self-describing option, and the first extension packet header that needs to be parsed can be directly located from the first packet by using the obtained packet header information.

    Abstract: This application relates to the field of communication technologies, and discloses a method and an apparatus for determining a link for forwarding a service flow, and a storage medium. A first forwarding device obtains identification information of a first service flow; and determines, based on the identification information of the first service flow, a link bandwidth matrix, and link statuses respectively corresponding to N links, a first link for forwarding the first service flow. A hash operation does not need to be performed based on a device identifier of each forwarding device, and a specific forwarding device that performs forwarding does not need to be determined by comparing a plurality of hash values.

    Abstract: A BIERv6 packet forwarding method, device, and system. The method includes: receiving, by a first network device, a BIERv6 packet, where the first network device is a BFR or a BFER; determining, by the first network device, whether a value of a hop limit field in the BIERv6 packet is less than or equal to a preset threshold of the first network device, where the preset threshold is a value greater than or equal to 2, and is determined based on a quantity of one or more consecutive second network devices connected to the first network device, and the second network device is a device that does not support BIER forwarding; and when the value of the hop limit field in the BIERv6 packet is less than or equal to the preset threshold, avoiding, by the first network device, forwarding the BIERv6 packet.

    Abstract: A route advertisement method, where a second communication apparatus sends a BGP message to a third communication apparatus. The BGP message includes a first routing prefix, a first next-hop address, and a first color attribute. An address segment of the first routing prefix is a first address segment of the second communication apparatus, and the first color attribute indicates a first service intent. The second communication apparatus may further advertise a first SRv6 service route to a first communication apparatus. The first SRv6 service route includes a first SRv6 SID which is an address in the first address segment. The second communication apparatus and the first communication apparatus belong to different domains.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a bit index explicit replication over internet protocol version 6 (BIERv6) packet processing method, and the method is applied to an Ethernet virtual private network (EVPN). The method includes: A first network device receives a BIERv6 packet sent by a second network device. The BIERv6 packet includes an internet protocol version 6 (IPv6) header and a broadcast, unknown unicast, and multicast (BUM) packet, a source address (SA) of the IPv6 header is a IPv6 address, the IPv6 address identifies the second network device, the first network device is an egress device in a BIER domain, and the second network device is an ingress device in the BIER domain. The first network device determines, based on the IPv6 address, a EVPN instance to which the BUM packet belongs. The first network device forwards the BUM packet based on the EVPN instance. The foregoing technical solutions can reduce waste of public network link bandwidth, and improve BUM packet replication efficiency.
