Abstract: The present disclosure provides a dimming method for an LCD device. The LCD device includes a dimming screen and a display screen. The dimming screen is divided into N×M dimming areas, and the display screen is also divided into N×M display areas. N and M are respectively positive integers greater than or equal to 1. The dimming areas correspond to the display areas in a one-to-one relationship. The dimming method includes determining a regional eigenvalue of each of the dimming areas according to image data, determining a dimming brightness of each of the dimming areas according to each regional eigenvalue, and dimming each of the dimming areas according to each dimming brightness. The present disclosure also provides a dimming screen for use in the dimming method and an LCD device using the dimming method.

Abstract: A display device and a display control method, and the display device includes: a backlight module, a first display panel, and a second display panel, and a processor. The processor is configured to: acquire a pixel grayscale matrix of an image to be displayed; determine desired brightness of each pixel by using a grayscale-brightness curve of the second display panel based on the pixel grayscale matrix; determine set light-emitting brightness of backlight partition according to grayscale information in the pixel grayscale matrix corresponding to the backlight partition; obtain a first corrected brightness of each backlight partition based on light diffusion coefficients of the plurality of backlight partitions; determine a grayscale of pixel unit according to a brightness difference between the first corrected brightness and the desired brightness; obtain a second corrected brightness of the backlight partition.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for driving a display device, a driving apparatus, a display device, and a computer-readable medium. The display device includes a backlight module, which includes a plurality of backlight regions. The method includes: determining a first backlight signal value of each of the plurality of backlight regions according to input grayscale values of pixels in an image to be displayed; determining a second backlight signal value of each of the plurality of backlight regions according to the first backlight signal values of the plurality of backlight regions and a preset backlight diffusion function; and driving each of the plurality of backlight regions to emit light using the second backlight signal value of the backlight region.

Abstract: A display control method and apparatus of backlight sources, and a display device are provided. The method includes: determining a set backlight value of each backlight area according to a grayscale of an image to be displayed; determining an equivalent backlight luminance of each pixel point according to backlight source diffusion transmission parameter of the backlight module of the display device and the set backlight value of each backlight area; determining a compensation image according to the equivalent backlight luminance of each pixel point; and controlling the backlight module to turn on the backlight sources according to the set backlight value of each backlight area, and controlling the display panel to display the image according to the compensation image.
