Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a microfluidic chip. The microfluidic chip may include a substrate. The substrate may include an electrode layer on a base substrate, a dielectric layer on the electrode layer, and a lyophobic layer on the dielectric layer. The electrode layer may include a plurality of electrode units. Each of the plurality of electrode units may be configured to realize both droplet detection and droplet driving in response to a detection signal and a driving signal respectively.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a sample preliminary screening chip, a specimen detecting method and a screening device. A data processor may be configured to control a sample solution containing a specimen to be added into a preliminary screening inlet of the sample preliminary screening chip, and control the sample solution in the preliminary screening inlet to enter a channel, successively to flow through a first preliminary screening area and a second preliminary screening area, and to flow out from a preliminary screening outlet so as to store a liquid with the specimen in a first preliminary screening area. In this way, the liquid containing the specimen may be screened preliminarily.

Abstract: A digital microfluidic chip and a digital microfluidic system. The digital microfluidic chip comprises: an upper substrate and a lower substrate arranged opposite to each other; multiple driving circuits and multiple addressing circuits disposed between the lower substrate and the upper substrate; and a control circuit, electrically connected to the driving circuits and the addressing circuits. The control circuit is configured to apply, in a driving stage, a driving voltage to each driving circuit, such that a droplet is controlled to move inside a droplet accommodation space according to a set path, measure, in a detection stage, after a bias voltage is applied to each addressing circuit, a charge loss amount of each addressing circuit, and to determine the position of the droplet according to the charge loss amount. The charge loss amount of each addressing circuit is related to the intensity of received external light.

Abstract: A microfluidic chip and controlling method are provided. The microfluidic chip includes a microfluidic substrate, comprising a first substrate, a droplet driving assembly over the first substrate, and a temperature detection assembly. The droplet driving assembly includes a first electrode layer having a plurality of control electrodes, and each of the plurality of control electrodes is configured as part of a driving unit to drive a droplet to move along a predetermined path over the microfluidic substrate. The temperature detection assembly comprises at least one temperature sensor. The at least one temperature sensor positionally corresponds to the plurality of control electrodes such that each of the at least one temperature sensor detects a temperature at a position associated with one of the plurality of control electrodes corresponding to the each of the at least one temperature sensor.
