    Abstract: Systems and methods for small data transmissions (SDTs) between a user equipment (UE) and a network are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the UE determines whether to perform an SDT procedure by comparing its own mobility state to an SDT mobility state condition provided by the network. The UE may also determine whether to perform the SDT procedure by comparing the size of user plane (UP) data to be sent with the SDT procedure to an SDT mobility-based data amount threshold provided by the network. Upon entering an RRC_INACTIVE state, the UE may start a validity timer relative to any such SDT mobility state condition and/or SDT mobility-based data amount threshold, and invalidate these once the validity timer expires. In some disclosed embodiments, the UE reports its determined mobility state to the network during an SDT procedure so that the network can accordingly select configuration parameters for SDT procedures.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for a wireless device to perform gradual timing adjustments in a non-terrestrial wireless communication system. According to the techniques described herein, a wireless device may establish a non-terrestrial network based wireless link with a cellular base station. The wireless device may detect a trigger for changing a gradual timing adjustment rate from a first gradual timing adjustment rate to a second gradual timing adjustment rate. The wireless device may determine a time window for which to perform gradual timing adjustment at the second gradual timing adjustment rate. The wireless device may perform gradual timing adjustment at the second gradual timing adjustment rate for the time window.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for sidelink (SL) power control within wireless communication systems are disclosed herein. A user equipment (UE) selects a parameter set to use to calculate a transmit power of one or more channels to be transmitted according to an SL session with a peer UE from a plurality of parameter sets each configured for use according to a distance between the UE and the peer UE. A UE determines whether an SL pathloss based calculation is to be used to calculate a transmit power of a channel according to an SL session with a peer UE, wherein that calculation is configured to be used depending on a distance between the UE and the peer UE. UE selection of a number of physical SL feedback channel (PSFCH) transmissions to match a UE capability and determinations regarding whether to perform PSFCH reception or PSFCH transmission are also discussed.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to performing beam failure recovery during an inter-cell connection involving a UE in communication with one or more base stations in a cellular communication system. In various embodiments, a user equipment determines one or more beam failures by monitoring one or more reference signals transmitted by one or more base stations, where the UE is connected to the one or more base stations. The UE further performs candidate beam detection by monitoring at least one candidate reference signal that is transmitted by one or more candidate base stations, where at least one candidate base station (a first candidate base station) is different from the one or more base stations to which the UE was previously communicating. The UE selects the first candidate base station based on the candidate beam detection, and transmits a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) message to the first candidate base station based on the selection.

    Abstract: In accordance with aspects of the present disclosure, a user equipment (UE) may receive a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) transmission via a slot i and a sub-channel j. The UE may determine, within a resource block (RB) set k and a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) transmission occasion n, at least one interlace to use for a PSFCH transmission based at least in part on an index of the slot i, an index of the sub-channel j, a PSFCH periodicity, and a quantity of sub-channels in the RB set k. The UE may transmit the PSFCH transmission via the at least one interlace in the RB set k during the PSFCH transmission occasion n. The PSFCH transmission may include feedback for the PSSCH transmission.
