    Abstract: A group of devices connected on a wireless local area network (WLAN) operate in conjunction with one another to present content. Devices in the group may be wirelessly connected via personal area network (PAN) to other devices, such as speakers. An election process is used to select a primary device. The primary device may receive content from an external source, such as a server, and distribute that content to other devices within the group via the WLAN. The parameters of that distribution, such as a content rate indicative of a bitrate of the content, transfer limit rate, and so forth are configured to preserve fidelity of the presentation while minimizing interruptions to presentation that may result due to frequency contention between the WLAN and the PAN, traffic on the WLAN, and so forth.

    Abstract: Antenna structures and methods of operating the same are described. One apparatus includes a processing device that executes an active interference cancellation (AIC) algorithm and radio frequency front-end (RFFE) circuitry coupled to the processing device. The RFFE circuitry includes two RF couplers, a fixed-delay filter, and an interference compensation circuit part of an electrical path between the two RF couplers. The AIC algorithm is operable to control the interference compensation circuit to adjust a phase, an amplitude or both of a copy of a first RF signal transmitted on a first antenna to remove corresponding interference in a second RF signal received at a second antenna that is caused by the first RF signal. The processing device triggers a re-calibration in the AIC algorithm when the digital values, received from a power detector circuit, indicate a change in impedance that exceeds a threshold.

    Abstract: Approaches are described for managing effects such as interference, crosstalk, and other types of noise in an electronic environment using a physical and/or electronic switch to improve antenna performance. For example, in the situation where the connector is connected to the device and no data and/or power is being transferred through the connector, the switch is caused to be open. In this situation, because the connector will be an electrically floating metal instead of a grounded metal due to the open switch, at least a portion of the radiated and/or received antenna signals will not couple to the connector. In the situation where the connector is connected to the device and is being used to transfer data and/or power, the switch is caused to be closed, which will result in the connector being grounded. In such a situation, at least a portion of the noise generated by the connector due to transferring data and/or power will be grounded instead of being coupled to the antenna.
