摘要： A script is scanned to detect character strings that match predetermined criteria. The detected character strings are sorted in order of their appearance frequency and are associated with substitute characters or character strings such that a character string having a greater appearance frequency than another character string is associated with substitute characters or character string having a same or smaller number of characters. The script is searched for a given character string, and the given character string is replaced with its associated substitute characters or character strings. The content is unidirectionally distributed whereby the plurality of character strings is not distributed.

A switching unit switches from outputting the first contents to outputting the second contents. A determining unit determines whether the second provider is permitted to access the first memory area. An output controller reads the first information and outputs the second contents based on the first information to the output unit when the second provider is permitted to access the first memory area.

The browser (241) manages the broadcast application based on the XML-AIT and resumes the reception of the broadcast application after the reproduction of the VoD content is ended. With this structure, processing of separating two transport streams at the same time becomes unnecessary, and one demultiplexer (23) only needs to be provided.
