    摘要: A vehicle door system includes a door with a door module and a hinge module. The hinge module is attached to the vehicle body. The door module is attached to the hinge module. The hinge module includes a hinge bracket attached to the vehicle body, and a pair of arms extending from the hinge bracket that can pivot relative to the hinge bracket and a cross brace attached at the ends of the arms. The door module attaches to the cross brace. The door module moves along with the cross brace, which moves along with the arms as they pivot relative to the hinge bracket. The door module includes a latch mechanism at a bottom edge, with the latch mechanism engaging with the vehicle body. A lateral edge of the door may seal against a lateral edge of the second door without a latch interface.

A similar second circuit board abuts the second end of each of the bus bars and includes a second substrate and second contact terminals in physical and electrical communication with each of the bus bars. The substrates of the circuit boards are electrical insulators and are good conductors of heat. A heat sink abuts each of the substrates of the circuit boards for removing heat from the circuit boards and from the bus bars.

The receivers are at least partially disposed within respective first and second housings. A first cover is disposed over an opening of the first housing and a second cover is disposed over an opening of the second housing. The covers seal the ends of the housings and the ends of the receivers, providing a double seal to the contacts. As the receivers are moved toward each other, the covers are automatically moved out of engagement with the receivers and housing. As the receivers are moved away from each other, the covers are automatically moved back into engagement with the housings and receivers.

    摘要: A heat sink includes a baseplate of thermally-conductive material and a radiator for transferring heat to atmosphere around the radiator. The baseplate is configured to be in thermal communication with a heat source, such as an integrated circuit or a power electronic device. The radiator is disposed upon the baseplate and includes a skin of melted material formed by additive manufacturing which encloses a chamber. An outer wick of porous material is disposed within the chamber, the outer wick coats an inner surface of the skin. A refrigerant is disposed within the chamber. The refrigerant changes between a liquid phase and a vapor phase to convey heat from the baseplate to the skin, and is conveyed back through the wick in the liquid phase by capillary action. The radiator also includes a plurality of fins extending from a cover to promote heat transfer to the atmosphere.

    摘要: An insert for a steel shot sleeve of a high-pressure die casting assembly used to form aluminum vehicle components is provided. The insert is formed by additive manufacturing, for example laser sintering, and is located opposite a pouring hole of the shot sleeve. The insert includes multiple layers formed of metals and ceramic designed to reduce damage to the shot sleeve caused while casting the components. For example, a cylindrical body of the shot sleeve can be formed of steel, and the insert can include a base layer formed of the steel. The insert can include middle layers formed of a mixture of the steel; an alloy of chromium, iron, and molybdenum; and zirconium oxide. The insert can also include an inner layer formed of the zirconium oxide. The amount of ceramic increases and the amount of metal decreases in the direction moving toward the inner layer.

    摘要: A system includes a laser welder and a filler wire feed. The laser welder is configured to weld a workpiece to at least one additional workpiece to form a welded assembly. Each of the workpieces is formed from a steel material and comprises an aluminum based coating thereon. The filler wire feed is configured to feed a filler wire to an interface between the workpieces when the workpieces are being welded to each other to form the welded assembly. The filler wire comprises a composition that includes nickel and chromium. The filler wire is configured to bind with aluminum in the aluminum based coating so as to minimize formation of brittle intermetallics due to mixing of the aluminum in the aluminum based coating with the iron/steel material in the weld joint.
