The ink-droplet detecting unit includes a light-emitting element, a light-emitting element holder, a light-receiving element, a light-receiving element holder, and a base member. The light-emitting element holder is attached to the base member in a rotatable manner. The light-receiving element holder is attached to the base member in a slidable manner in a direction perpendicular to a rotation direction of the light-emitting element holder.     摘要: A light-emitting element emits a beam onto a droplet discharged from a nozzle. A light-receiving element receives a scattered light generated by scattering of the beam by the droplet. A discharge-speed controller controls a speed of discharge of the droplet from the nozzle to be set at the speed outside a normal discharge-speed range that is determined depending on a viscosity of a liquid. Finally, a failure detecting unit detects a liquid discharge failure from data of the scattered light received by the light-receiving element.

    摘要: After a light emitting element holder is rotated, it is detected from the output value of a position adjusting light receiving element that a light beam formed by light emitted from a light emitting element is incident on a positioning target provided in a light emitting element. The light emitting element holder is duly fixed to a base member. When the incidence of the light beam on the positioning target is not detected from the output value of the position adjusting light receiving element even though the light emitting element holder is rotated, a light receiving element holder is made to slide for height adjustment and the light emitting element holder is rotated again. The adjustment of the height of the light receiving element holder and the adjustment of the rotation of the light emitting element holder are repeated until the light beam is incident on the positioning target.

A mammary papilla leading end portion can be disposed at the leading end portion of a mammary papilla portion and have a leading end opening portion. The inner layer on the inner side of the wall is formed of a shape holding layer made of a material having a rigidity capable of holding the wall shape. The outer layer on the surface side of the wall is formed of a tongue abutting layer having a smooth face. Between the shape holding layer and the tongue abutting layer there is disposed a deformation absorbing layer which is made of a material having a lower rigidity than that of the material of the shape holding layer and the tongue abutting layer.

    摘要: A liquid-discharge-failure detecting apparatus detects a liquid discharge failure. A light-emitting element emits a beam onto a droplet of liquid discharged from a liquid-droplet-discharge surface with an optical axis of the beam making a right angle with a direction in which the droplet is discharged. A light-receiving element receives a scattered light generated by scattering of the beam by the droplet. A failure detecting unit detects the liquid discharge failure from data of the scattered light received by the light-receiving element. A distance changing unit changes a distance between the liquid-droplet-discharge surface and the optical axis of the beam based on, for example, a diameter of the droplet.

A mist shielding plate includes an elongated hole through which liquid droplets sprayed from a plurality of nozzles pass and prevents a mist floating apart from the liquid droplets from passing through the elongated hole.

    摘要: In a rotating electric machine including a field pole unit having ten magnetic poles (P=10) and an armature having twelve teeth (Q=12), armature coils are wound around the successive teeth with phase relationships and winding polarities arranged in the order of U+/U+, U−/V+, V−/V−, W−/V+, W+/W+, W−/U+, U−/U−, U+/V−, V+/V+, W+/V−, W−/W− and W+/U−, where “U,” “V” and “W” represent three phases of the individual armature coils while “+” and “−” denote winding polarities. Among all harmonic components of magnetomotive forces produced by the armature coils, harmonic components of orders lower than a synchronized component can be reduced in this rotating electric machine. This structure decreases eddy currents flowing in the field pole unit, resulting lower eddy current loss in the field pole unit of the rotating electric machine.

    摘要: According to an emergency brake device for an elevator, a brake body is capable of coming into and out of contact with an outer periphery of a sheave which is rotatable, and is capable of being displaced to a rotation direction of the sheave while maintaining a contact with the outer periphery of the sheave. Further, the brake body is arranged between the sheave and a gripper metal. The gripper metal includes an inclined portion which is caused to incline with respect to the outer periphery of the sheave. When the brake body is displaced in the rotation direction of the sheave, the brake body is meshed between the outer periphery of the sheave and the inclined portion. To the brake body, a connecting portion capable of being displaced with respect to the sheave is connected. The connecting body is displaced in a direction in which the brake body comes into and out of contact with the outer periphery of the sheave by a brake drive device.
