Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support use of a connected mode RS in an unconnected mode according to one or more aspects. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes operating, by a user equipment (UE), in an unconnected mode. The method also includes determining, by the UE, reference signal (RS) configuration settings for the unconnected mode. The method includes monitoring, by the UE, for a reference signal based on the RS configuration settings. Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to obtaining a duplex mode of a scheduled entity, selecting a downlink-uplink (DU) slot interpretation to be applied by the scheduled entity to a slot including a DU symbol based on the duplex mode of the scheduled entity, and transmitting the DU slot interpretation to the scheduled entity. The DU symbol may be configured to include a downlink transmission and an uplink transmission within a same carrier bandwidth. Other aspects relate to receiving a message, indicating that the slot is formatted with a DU symbol, selecting a DU slot interpretation to be applied to the slot including the DU symbol based on a duplex mode of the scheduled entity, and applying the DU slot interpretation to the slot. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may configure a relay configuration for a set of user equipments (UEs). The relay configuration may include a set of first direction transmission opportunities and corresponding second direction transmission opportunities. The relay configuration may be activated or deactivated, such as on a packet-by-packet basis. When the relay configuration is activated, a first UE and one or more second UEs may sequentially transmit a packet using the first direction transmission opportunities so as to be receivable by the wireless device and each other. The relay process may continue, for example, until the wireless device successfully receives the packet. The wireless device may monitor the first direction transmission opportunities and transmit positive or negative acknowledgments during the second direction transmission opportunities to indicate whether it has successfully received the packet.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A configuration for a reference signal used to determine a non-linear behavior of transmission components at a transmitting device may be determined. The configuration for the reference signal may be determined based on signaling transmitted by the transmitting device, signaling transmitted by a device that receives the reference signal, or both. Additionally, or alternatively, the configuration for the reference signal may be determined based on a configuration of other signals transmitted by the transmitting device prior to or concurrently with the transmission of the reference signal. The determined configuration may be used to generate and transmit the reference signal or to determine a configuration of a received reference signal. In both cases, a non-linear response of transmission components at the transmitting device may be determined based on the reference signal.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to radio access networks with a capability to dynamically reconfigure a number of transmission-reception points (TRPs) in a single-frequency network (SFN) based on channel measurements. In one example, a mobile device receives a configuration message including a plurality of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states, and potentially further including an indication identifying one or more of the TCI states as main TCI states. The message may further include an indication that it includes the plurality of TCI states. The UE receives a downlink traffic channel and demodulates the traffic channel based on only a subset of the TCI states (e.g., the main TCI state (s)). The UE further measures one or more channel parameters corresponding to each TCI state of the plurality of TCI states, and transmits a channel state information report based on the channel parameters. Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for identifying, from a resource pool allocated for sidelink communications between UEs, a first number of resources for transmissions from the first UE to a second UE based on a set of one or more parameters shared between the first UE and the second UE and identifying, from the resource pool, a second number of resources for transmissions from the second UE to the first UE based on the shared set of one or more parameters. The first UE may communicate with the second UE using the first and the second number of resources and avoid using the remaining available resources for power saving. For example, the first UE and the second UE may avoid sidelink communications on time slots on which no subchannels belong to either the first subset or second number of the resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station using a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration in a component carrier (CC). The UE may transmit an indication of a capability of the UE to operate in a full duplex (e.g., frequency division duplex (FDD)) mode on a single carrier in an unpaired frequency spectrum based on a first BWP configuration. The UE may receive an indication of a second BWP configuration for one or more slots based on transmitting the indication of the capability of the UE, the second BWP configuration including a configuration associated with an uplink BWP and a downlink BWP. The UE and the base station may then communicate according to the second BWP configuration in the one or more slots of the set of slots based on receiving the indication of the second BWP configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Base stations may reduce energy consumption by minimizing the use of periodic signals such as the system information block one (SIB1), which a user equipment (UE) may use to perform a random access channel (RACH) procedure with a base station. A UE may transmit a wake-up signal to the base station requesting an SIB1. The base station may transmit a synchronization signal block (SSB) that indicates that the base station is not transmitting an SIB1, and the UE may transmit the cell wake-up signal in response. A base station may refrain from periodically transmitting SSBs. A UE may determine that it is within range of a base station and that it has not received an SSB. The UE may transmit a wake-up signal to the base station, and the base station may transmit an SSB and an SIB1 to the UE.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication of an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station.
