Abstract: A target decoder may receive a bitstream including an audio frame in a target format associated with a target encoder and a metadata frame associated with the audio frame. The audio frame may be transcoded from an earlier audio frame. The metadata frame may be converted from an earlier metadata frame associated with the earlier audio frame. The target decoder may decode audio data from the audio frame and metadata from the metadata frame.

Abstract: An electronic device may include control circuitry that allows a user to listen to audio playing from an external speaker in the environment from the user's personal speaker device such as a pair of headphones, earbuds, or a personal loudspeaker. In response to receiving user input, the control circuitry may gather audio input from the environment with a microphone. The control circuitry may process the detected audio input to identify what audio track is currently playing from the external speaker and to determine which part of the audio track is currently playing. The control circuitry may then start playing the identified audio track from the user's personal speaker device in sync with the audio track playing from the external speaker. The electronic device may search music streaming platforms, public radio station information, and other public music content sources to anticipate and buffer upcoming songs.

A touch processing system may compensate touch scan data to reduce the noise based on a luminance value. An image processing system may determine the luminance value based on image data and a display brightness value of an electronic display. Using the compensated touch scan data, the touch processing system may determine a proximity of a capacitive object to at least one touch sense region of the electronic display.

Abstract: An electronic device may be provided with conductive structures such as conductive housing structures. A visible-light-reflecting coating may be formed on the conductive structures. The coating may have adhesion and transition layers, an opaque coloring layer on the adhesion and transition layers, and a two-layer thin-film interference filter on the opaque coloring layer. The two-layer thin-film interference filter may an uppermost diamond-like carbon (DLC) or CrSiCN layer and a lowermost SiCrCN layer. The coating may exhibit a dark blue or black color that has a relatively uniform visual response even when the underlying conductive structures have a three-dimensional shape.

Abstract: Systems and methods for coordinating data sampling among devices include a set of electronic devices that may periodically sample energy data from a smart meter according to sample timing information. The sample timing information may specify a set of times to sample energy data for each electronic device. The set of electronic devices may take turns in sampling energy data from the smart meter so that individual electronic devices may reduce power consumption by sampling less frequently. A server may determine the sample times for the electronic devices and may instruct the electronic devices to sample energy data. Additionally, each individual electronic device may leave and/or join wireless communication networks less frequently than if each individual electronic device performed every sample. Accordingly, the coordinated sampling may decrease the radio resource usage and/or bandwidth usage of any individual electronic device.
