There is provided a system for facilitating a conference call. The system includes a module to generate a real-time voiceprint from a voice input of a participant in the conference call, and a module to provide information indicative of the participant based on the real-time voiceprint.

Techniques for sensory enhancement and augmentation are described. Some embodiments provide an audible assistance facilitator system (“AAFS”) configured to provide audible assistance to a user via a hearing device. In one embodiment, the AAFS receives data that represents an utterance of a speaker received by a hearing device of the user, such as a hearing aid, smart phone, media device, or the like. The AAFS identifies the speaker based on the received data, such as by performing speaker recognition. The AAFS determines speaker-related information associated with the identified speaker, such as by determining an identifier (e.g., name or title) of the speaker, by locating an information item (e.g., an email message, document) associated with the speaker, or the like. The AAFS then informs the user of the speaker-related information, such as by causing an audio representation of the speaker-related information to be output via the hearing device.
Abstract:
A method includes registering a voice of a party in order to provide voice verification for communications with an entity. A call is received from a party at a voice response system. The party is prompted for information and verbal communication spoken by the party is captured. A voice model associated with the party is created by processing the captured verbal communication spoken by the party and is stored. The identity of the party is verified and a previously stored voice model of the party, registered during a previous call from the party, is updated. The creation of the voice model is imperceptible to the party.

A method is provided for identifying a calling party to a called party utilizing biometric information. Biometric information of first calling party is received. If stored, a calling party profile is retrieved based on first calling party biometric information. A call is placed to a called party. The first calling party profile is provided to called party. A biometric information change from first calling party biometric information to a second calling party biometric information is automatically detected, and it is determined whether the second party biometric information is stored. If stored, a second calling party profile of second calling party is retrieved and is provided to called party. Responsive to determining that the biometric information for second calling party is not stored, the called party is notified that the second calling party is communicating and the second calling party profile is automatically created based on second calling party biometric information.

A system includes at least one wireless client device, a service manager, and a plurality of voice transcription servers. The service manager includes a resource management service and a profile management service. The client device communicates the presence of a voice transcription task to the resource management service. The resource management service surveys the plurality of voice transcription servers and selects one voice transcription server based on a set of predefined criteria. The resource management service then communicated an address of the selected server to the profile management service, which then transmits a trained voice profile or default profile to the selected server. The address of the selected server is then sent to the client device, which then transmits an audio stream to the server. Finally, the selected server transcribes the audio stream to a textual format.

A method of providing identifying information over a voice communications link can include receiving, from a call participant, a personal identification code over the voice communications link, determining identifying information for the call participant using the personal identification code, and encoding the identifying information of the call participant within a voice stream carried by the voice communications link. The voice stream and identifying information can be sent to a subscriber.

A voice authentication system using a removable voice ID card comprises: at server side, a voiceprint database for storing the voiceprints of all authorized users; a voiceprint updating means for updating the voiceprints in said voiceprint database; and a voiceprint digest generator for generating a voiceprint digest according to a request from a client; at client side, a voice ID card for storing the voiceprint of an authorized user; a validation means for validating the voiceprint in the voice ID card on the basis of the voiceprint digest from the server; an audio device for performing voice interaction with a user; and a voice authentication means for determining whether the voiceprint from said voice ID card is of the same speaker as the voice from said audio device. The present invention can significantly avoid the abuse of a voice ID card when it is lost or stolen by using the voiceprint digest stored at server side to verify the voiceprint in the voice ID card.

In those transactions requiring the approval of two or more users, users can perform verification of identity and then completion of desired transaction using an IVR system. The combination of two or more user voice prints previously collected during an enrollment phase can be used for verification of parties to the transaction. During a subsequent verification phase of the IVR system, the users can speak their own password phase when prompted to do so during a defined period of time and the IVR system captures them in a captured mixed voice print. Verification can then be provided by comparing the captured mixed voice print with a joined voice reference model built from stored voice reference models.
Abstract:
A system and method for monitoring telephone activity and conversation content in a correctional facility comprises providing a communicative connection between a caller and a recipient, alerting at least one of the caller and the recipient that the communications may be recorded, delivering the conversation between the caller and the recipient over the communicative connection and storing the conversation into a call record memory. After the communicative connection has been terminated, speech recognition software is executed to identify a plurality of conversation words within the call record memory. By comparing the conversation words with a database of trigger words, a determination can be made as to whether the conversation is of interest to the correctional facility. Based on that comparison step, a detection response is executed.
Abstract:
One-to-many comparisons of callers' words and/or voice prints with known words and/or voice prints to identify any substantial matches between them. When a customer communicates with a particular entity, such as a customer service center, the system makes a recording of the real-time call including both the customer's and agent's voices. The system segments the recording to extract different words, such as words of anger. The system may also segment at least a portion of the customer's voice to create a tone profile, and it formats the segmented words and tone profiles for network transmission to a server. The server compares the customer's words and/or tone profiles with multiple known words and/or tone profiles stored on a database to determine any substantial matches. The identification of any matches may be used for a variety of purposes, such as providing representative feedback or customer follow-up.
