    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for generating wake-up radio (WUR) frames formats and implementing WUR communications between transmitting and receiving wireless devices. A transmitting wireless device may identify one or more intended receiving wireless devices for which to send a WUR frame. The transmitting wireless device may generate the WUR frame, where the WUR frame has a first portion that includes a first field. The first field may indicate whether the WUR frame is a fixed length frame or a variable length frame. The transmitting wireless device may also determine a frame check sequence (FCS) type for use with a WUR frame for transmission. The FCS portion may be capable of being one of a plurality of FCS types. The transmitting wireless device may transmit the WUR frame to the one or more intended receiving wireless devices.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for bandwidth aggregation for wireless local area network (WLAN) systems. A first device may monitor multiple anchor channels of at least one radio frequency (RF) spectrum band, and receive, from another device, a bandwidth aggregation indication on an anchor channel of the monitored plurality of anchor channels. The first device may then identify based on the received bandwidth aggregation indication, a bandwidth aggregation configuration including a first and second portion of the at least one RF spectrum band to use to receive communications from the other device. A transmitting device may select one of multiple anchor channels, transmit the indication of the bandwidth aggregation configuration to another device using the anchor channel, then transmit communications using the bandwidth aggregation configuration.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to communication using a data unit that includes at least one mid-amble. In some aspects, an apparatus may use mid-ambles for mobility scenarios (e.g., when the apparatus is moving outdoors). The disclosure relates in some aspects to signaling associated with the use of mid-ambles. In some aspects, an apparatus may signal whether it supports sending and/or receiving data with mid-ambles. In some aspects, an apparatus may signal whether a particular data unit includes at least one mid-amble. In some aspects, an apparatus may signal an indication of at least one mid-amble update interval. In some aspects, an apparatus may signal whether a mid-amble includes a short training field.

    Abstract: An 802.11ac access point (AP) may be capable of communicating with both 802.11n (on 40 MHz band) and 802.11ac devices (on 80 MHz band). While the 802.11ac AP is communicated with 802.11n devices on 40 MHz band, the remaining 40 MHz band is wasted because the 802.11n devices are not capable of communicating on this band. The AP may operate as if it is two virtual APs, one capable of communicating with 802.11n devices on a first primary and a first secondary channels (basic service set 1—BSS1) and the second communicating with 802.11ac devices on a second primary and a second secondary channels (BSS2). Individual beacons may be sent for BSS1 and BSS2. The transmissions on BSS2 may be performed simultaneously with transmissions on BSS1. However, transmission on one channel and receiving on the second channel cannot happen simultaneously.
