Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for cross-carrier sidelink channel state information (CSI) reporting. One aspect provides a method for wireless communication by a first user equipment (UE). The method generally includes transmitting, to a second UE, one or more channel state information (CSI) requests on one or more first component carriers (CCs), via one or more sidelink control informations (SCIs) that includes a CSI request flag and receiving, in response to the one or more CSI requests, one or more CSI reports from the second UE on one or more second CCs.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a relay user equipment (UE) may establish a sidelink unicast link with a remote UE via a sidelink signaling interface. The relay UE may identify configuration information for an adaptation layer of the sidelink signaling interface, the configuration information including at least one of a remote UE identifier associated with the sidelink unicast link for a relay service, bearer identifier information identifying one or more bearers between the remote UE and a network entity for the relay service, a radio link control (RLC) channel mapping between a bearer identifier and one or more RLC channels, or data routing information associated with the relay service. The relay UE may relay communications between the remote UE and the network entity based at least in part on the configuration information. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network entity may receive, from a relay node via a radio access link, information indicating a link layer identifier of the relay node associated with a relay service, wherein the relay node is associated with a radio access identifier. The network entity may configure a relay service with the relay node and a remote node using a mapping between the radio access identifier and the link layer identifier. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for sensing window configuration for sidelink based ranging and positioning. For example, during sidelink-based ranging or sensing, a user equipment (UE) may determine the relative distance or position with other UEs. This may be realized by a UE broadcasting a wideband position reference signal (PRS) on an unlicensed band and measuring the round-trip time associated with a peer UE's PRS. The measurement accounts for a PRS transmission time transmitted by each UE. The UE may apply a sensing window to determine whether a neighboring UE has reserved PRS transmission times. The present disclosure provides methods and techniques for a network entity to configure a sensing window in a UE so that the UE may determine, during the sensing window, whether neighboring UEs have reserved a PRS transmission time.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may configure a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle of the first UE for a sidelink connection with a second UE. The UE may identify a mode that specifies whether the first UE is to receive a communication outside of an on duration of the DRX cycle if the on duration is extended due to receiving sidelink control information (SCI) reserving a resource outside of the on duration. The UE may communicate in accordance with the mode. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: The positioning capabilities of a User Equipment (UE) are stored in a core network to reduce positioning latency when the UE indicates that its positioning capabilities are stable and/or are long term valid. The UE may provide its positioning capabilities to a location server during a location session along with an indication of whether the positioning capabilities are stable. The location server may enable storage of the positioning capabilities for the UE in the core network, e.g., in the location server or another entity in the core network such as Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF), if there is an indication that the positioning capabilities are stable. The AMF may include a UE identifier in location requests with which the location server may retrieve the UE positioning capabilities if stored at the location server or may include the UE positioning capabilities if stored at the AMF.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for layer 2 relay user equipment (UE) mobility. A relay UE relays data between a first network entity and a remote UE based on a first configuration of the remote UE. The relay UE may receive, from the first network entity on a first connection, a handover request that includes a second configuration for a second network entity or a third configuration for the remote UE. The relay UE determines whether dual active protocol stack radio link control channels are configured for the remote UE based on the first configuration or the third configuration. The relay UE establishes a second connection with the second network entity based on the second configuration, and transmits, to the remote UE, a handover status indicating a result of establishing the second connection with the second network entity.

Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for using sidelinks for communications between vehicular mounted relays to improve user equipment (UE) mobility are described. In one technique, a first vehicle relay can receive information from a second vehicle relay via a sidelink. The information includes at least one of a location, a speed, or a direction of the second vehicle relay. The first vehicle relay determines to handover a UE served by the first vehicle relay to the second vehicle relay, based at least on the information, and triggers a handover of the UE to the second vehicle relay, in response to the determination. In another technique, a base station may receive the information from the first vehicle relay via radio resource control signaling, determine to handover the UE to the second vehicle relay, based at least on the information, and trigger a handover of the UE, in response to the determination.
