    Abstract: Over-the-air (OTA) dynamic time division duplex (TDD) is disclosed with a channel use indicator (CUI) receiver (CUI-R) signal multiplexed in uplink transmissions. According to various aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink grant from a serving base station, in which the downlink grant identifies downlink transmissions in one or more subsequent communication slots. The UE may identify a trigger for transmission of a channel usage signal associated with the grant that may be received by neighboring UEs that may potentially interfere. The UE transmits the channel usage signal in a next scheduled uplink region and then receives downlink data from the serving base station according to the downlink grant. If the neighboring UE receives a conditional uplink grant, then it may proceed with uplink transmissions when it fails to detect the channel usage signal from the UE.

    Abstract: New radio (NR) shared spectrum (NR-SS) listen before talk (LBT) gap optimizations are disclosed in which an indication, such as the preemption indicator, may provide an indication of a communications gap, in which preemptive communications may occur, to a user equipment (UE) currently engaged in communications, whether the preemptive communications are to another UE or network node or through different signal channels. The gap and preemptive communication may be measured in full symbol lengths, sub-symbol lengths, or interlaces. The communication gap may provide sufficient resources for the preempting node to adequately obtain the shared channel via listen before talk (LBT) procedures, and for the original UE to resume communications after the gap. The communication gap may also be optimally configured in order to provide both the UE and preempting node as much communication resources as possible within the scheduled communication opportunities.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a base station may communicate in an unlicensed spectrum (e.g., a shared radio frequency spectrum band). As such, the UE may determine a codebook size for transmitting hybrid access request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) feedback with respect to the unlicensed spectrum. Accordingly, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a number of HARQ processes with which the UE has been configured. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a number and/or duration of downlink channel monitoring occasions indicated by the base station. In some cases, the UE may base the HARQ ACK codebook size on a combination of the techniques described herein.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for group or one-shot acknowledgment (ACK) feedback reporting, in which feedback for a number of different downlink transmissions may be provided by a user equipment (UE) to a base station. A base station may trigger a one-shot feedback report that includes less than all of the ACK feedback that is available at the UE to provide in a report. The ACK feedback may include an indication of an ACK or a negative acknowledgement (NACK) along with information related to a data indicator associated with the downlink transmission. In some cases regular ACK feedback reports and one-shot feedback reports may be multiplexed and transmitted by a UE. Further, a last downlink transmission to be included in a one-shot feedback report may be determined based on a receipt time of scheduling information or an ACK feedback timeline.

    Abstract: A method of wireless communication of a user equipment (UE) includes communicating with a base station using a baseline channel code. The UE indicates to the base station, using the baseline channel code, support for an additional channel code that is different than the baseline channel code. The UE receives, from the base station, an indication to operate using the additional channel code. Then, the UE receives a first transmission on first set of resources and a second transmission on a second set of resources from the base station, the first transmission being encoded with the baseline channel code and the second transmission being encoded with the additional channel code.

A wireless communications system may support grants for uplink or downlink transmission over multiple transmission time intervals (TTIs). A multi-TTI grant may include a base grant and an extended grant that include separate information and may be transmitted simultaneously (e.g., within the same TTI) or separately. A grant type (e.g., whether a grant is a base grant or an extended grant) or an association between a base grant and an extended grant may be conveyed (e.g., via the multi-TTI grant).
