    Abstract: The aspects described herein allow control of an energy harvesting operation at an apparatus in a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode. The apparatus in the DRX mode may reduce its power consumption and may immediately begin harvesting energy during an active time of a DRX cycle. The apparatus includes a memory and at least one processor coupled to the memory. The at least one processor is configured to enter a DRX mode and receive a control signal during an active time of the DRX mode. The control signal enables an energy harvesting operation at the apparatus. The at least one processor is further configured to perform the energy harvesting operation in response to the control signal, wherein the energy harvesting operation is performed based on at least one of a reported capability, a preconfigured energy harvesting setting, control information in the control signal, or a combination thereof.

    Abstract: A signal processing method includes: receiving, at a UE, a PRS and a supplemental signal, the supplemental signal being a broadcast signal and spanning a first frequency range at least partially outside of a second frequency range spanned by the PRS; processing, at the UE, the PRS and the supplemental signal in combination, resulting in an effective signal bandwidth that is larger than the second frequency range, to determine position information; and at least one of: transmitting a capability message, from the UE to a network entity, indicating a processing capability of the UE to process, in combination, the PRS and the supplemental signal; or transmitting a signal-combination indication, from the UE to the network entity, indicating that the UE processed the PRS and the supplemental signal in combination to determine the position information.

    Abstract: Some techniques and apparatuses described herein provide sub-grouping of paging groups of user equipment (UEs) based at least in part on one or more parameters associated with a UE, such as a UE type of the UE or a measured channel condition at the UE. A base station may assign the UE to a paging sub-group based at least in part on the information associated with the one or more parameters. In some aspects, the base station may determine paging transmission parameters for the UE based at least in part on the information associated with the one or more parameters, such as a paging early indication (PEI) location, a beam where a PEI and/or a paging message is to be transmitted, a number of repetitions for a paging occasion, or the like.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A UE may perform a wireless sensing procedure, such as radar sensing, based on a sensing pattern defining one or more sensing signal burst occasions. A base station may transmit signaling including a request to suspend the wireless sensing procedure based on a resource collision, or scheduling conflict, between the one or more sensing signal burst occasions used for the wireless sensing procedure and one or more resources used for communications between the UE and the base station. The UE may determine to suspend the wireless sensing procedure or reject the data transmission during the resources that collide. The UE may selectively continue the wireless sensing procedure or pause the wireless sensing procedure based on the determining.
