    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, the method may include a user equipment (UE) transmitting, to a base station, first reference signals. The base station may perform channel estimation using the first reference signals and estimate a value for an uplink channel based on the channel estimation. The base station may generate second reference signals such that a characteristic of a downlink channel seen by the UE is within a target value and transmit the second reference signals to the UE. The UE may estimate a value for the characteristic of the downlink channel and obtain the target value from the estimated value. Both the UE and the base station may generate a secret using the target value and utilize the secret key for physical layer protection.

    Abstract: A UE includes: a transceiver configured to receive positioning signals from a positioning-signal source; a memory; and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver and the memory, the processor configured to: measure a plurality of the positioning signals, from a plurality of ports, spanning a collection of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed symbols to obtain a plurality of multi-port measurements; determine, based on the plurality of multi-port measurements, that a particular effective beam corresponds to an earliest time of arrival from the positioning-signal source to the UE of a plurality of effective beams associated with the plurality of ports; and send, via the transceiver to a first network entity, abeam indication indicative of the particular effective beam.

In some aspects, a user equipment may receive, when operating in a multiple link communication system, one or more downlink control information (DCI) messages scheduling one or more downlink communications. The user equipment may determine, based at least in part on the one or more DCI messages, whether a communication constraint is satisfied for the one or more downlink communications. The user equipment may determine a communication configuration for the one or more downlink communications based at least in part on whether the communication constraint is satisfied.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device may receive a first signal from a second wireless device and may identify a first bundle size for a precoding resource group (PRG) based on a characteristic of the first signal and, in some examples, based on performing channel estimation on the first signal. The first wireless device may transmit a feedback message to the second wireless device indicating a second bundle size for the PRG and associated with a second signal based on identifying the first bundle size. In some examples, the first wireless device may receive the second signal on a set of resources in accordance with the second bundle size. The first signal may be an example of a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS), and the second signal may be an example of a precoded CSI-RS or a demodulation reference signal (DMRS).

    Abstract: Sounding reference signals (SRS) transmitted by a UE, e.g., for positioning or channel estimation, may be configured for one or both of frequency tone level cyclic shift and symbol level code, which, for example, enables multiplexing a greater number of UEs. The frequency tone level cyclic shift is produced by jointly processing a number of symbols with an extended cyclic shift structure. The SRS may be configured using a symbol group level that indicates the number of symbols associated with a cyclic shift structure, and an outer code that indicates a multiplier applied to the SRS at the symbol level, which increases the multiplexing opportunities. The symbol level code may further indicate an extended cyclic shift indicating a linear increase in phase rotation across tones in symbols associated with the symbol group level.
