    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to coordinating shared radio resources for spectrum sharing are provided. A spectrum resource control unit allocates a first resource for exclusive access by a first network operating entity in a spectrum. The exclusive access is configured for at least one of a network information communication or a feedback communication. The spectrum resource control unit allocates a second resource in the spectrum for shared access by the first network operating entity and a second network operating entity. The shared access is configured for at least a downlink control information communication. The spectrum resource control unit transmits, to the first network operating entity and the second network operating entity, a configuration indicating the first resource allocated for exclusive access by the first network operating entity and the second resource allocated for shared access by the first network operating entity and the second network operating entity.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a group identifier of the UE. The UE may receive, from the base station, an indication of one or more group identifiers associated with scheduled communications with the base station during a time period. The UE may contend, based at least in part on the group identifier of the UE and the one or more group identifiers received from the base station, for access to a set of autonomous uplink (AUL) resources during the time period. The UE may perform, based at least in part on the contending, an AUL transmission to the base station using the set of autonomous uplink resources.

    Abstract: Channel availability is uncertain when employing an unlicensed carrier. In particular, it may be difficult to schedule grants in advance because of the uncertainty associated with future channels availability. Accordingly, scheduling UL and/or DL grants exclusively using self-scheduling or exclusively using cross-carrier scheduling for utilizing an unlicensed carrier may result in wasted communication opportunities. Aspects disclosed herein whereby an eNB may use licensed and unlicensed carriers to communicate downlink grants and uplink grants for an unlicensed carrier to a UE. In one aspect, the eNB may use an unlicensed carrier to communicate downlink grants for downlink communication on the unlicensed carrier, and may use a licensed carrier to communicate uplink grants for uplink communication on the unlicensed carrier.

    Abstract: A joint low-band and high-band operation is disclosed for use in new radio (NR) shared spectrum (NR-SS) networks. In such networks, uplink and downlink communications may occur over separate bands, selected based on performance or quality characteristics. A user equipment (UE) may search each of one or both of a low-band spectrum and a high-band spectrum for system information signal that includes both a low-band random access configuration and a high-band random access configuration. The UE transmits a random access request on one of the bands and receives the random access response from one or more cells on the other band. The UE continues the random access procedure, transmitting the uplink message based on the random access response on the first band to a selected cell. The UE would then receive the contention resolution message from the selected cell on the second band.
