The apparatus is configured to determine whether to defer communications based on the communication deferral policy, the message type, and whether the message is associated with the OBSS.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for multi user bar protocols and frames. The apparatus generally includes a processing system configured to determine that a plurality of devices have a first capability and generate a multi-user (MU) packet that solicits an immediate response from a plurality of the devices, wherein the immediate response comprises an acknowledgment (ACK) or block ACK (BA) and an interface configured to output the MU packet for transmission.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, an apparatus is configured transmit, to a set of stations, a trigger frame that indicates a set of RUs for uplink and/or downlink transmission available to each station of the set of stations. The trigger frame may be a request for feedback on the set of RUs from each station. The apparatus may be configured to receive from each station a response frame over an uplink resource based on the transmitted trigger frame. The response frame may include the feedback on the set of RUs and may be received independent of a channel condition associated with the uplink resource. The feedback may be an ordered list of RUs based on the set of RUs.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication are disclosed. In some aspects, a method includes receiving from a transmitting device, via a receiving device, a first wireless frame, the first wireless frame forming at least a portion of a wireless communication exchange between the transmitting device and the receiving device, transmitting to the transmitting device, in response to the first wireless frame, a second wireless frame indicating that the receiving device will enable protection for a remaining portion of the wireless communication exchange, transmitting during a contention period, in response to the indication, a frame reserving the wireless medium for a time period; and receiving, via the receiving device, the remaining portion of the wireless communication exchange from the transmitting device during the time period.

Abstract: Systems and methods for low overhead paging in a wireless communications network are described herein. In some aspects, an apparatus for wireless communication includes a receiver and a processor. The receiver receives a request from a first device. The request indicates a first period of a plurality of periods corresponding to a periodicity for transmitting paging messages. The processor assigns the first device to a group scheduled to receive paging messages at most every first period based on the request and determines a start time for transmitting paging messages to the first device based on schedules for transmitting paging messages to a plurality of other devices. In other aspects, an apparatus for wireless communication includes a processor and memory. The processor derives an information sub-unit from an information unit associated with a paging message, compresses the information sub-unit, and generates a second information unit associated with the method of compression.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for pre- and post-packet detection interference nulling. In some implementations, a method includes detecting at least a first part of an unscheduled Wi-Fi packet and performing a channel estimation. The method also may include estimating an interference on the Wi-Fi channel based on a known non-zero portion of the preamble of the Wi-Fi packet and nulling interference from the Wi-Fi channel during reception of at least a second part of the Wi-Fi packet. In some implementations, the method can determine an interference estimate based on at least one of a previously received packet or channel sampling for a Wi-Fi channel and computer a filter based at least in part on the interference estimate. The method also includes applying the filter to a received signal to null interference on the Wi-Fi channel at least before detection of a Wi-Fi packet.

Abstract: Methods and systems for sounding a wireless network are disclosed. In one aspect, a method includes receiving, by an access point a message including a beamforming report from a device. The device may be a station that is outside a basic service set of the access point. The method also includes transmitting a message to the device based on the beamforming report. For example, in some aspects, the access point may utilize the beamforming report to perform a coordinated beamforming, multi-access point transmission or a multi-access point MIMO transmission. In some aspects, the access point may transmit an interference nulling signal to the device based on the beamforming report. The nulling signal compensates for another simultaneous transmission by the access point that interferes with the device's reception of a message from an access point with which the device is associated.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for multi-link wireless communication are described. A block acknowledgment (BA) agreement (e.g., a multi-link BA session) may be established based on exchanged multi-link capability information (e.g., a BA window size, BA scoreboarding information, one or more wireless link identifiers, etc.). In some cases, a BA agreement may be established across some or all of the multiple links. In other cases, a BA agreement may be established on a per-link basis. The BA agreement may further establish one or more sets of sequence numbers, as well as scoreboarding techniques used by the transmitting wireless device for the BA session. The wireless device may then transmit packets to another wireless device using multiple links, and receive a BA with acknowledgement information accounting for the transmitted packets according to the established BA agreement. BAs may be transmitted on one link or on multiple links by the receiving device.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to apparatus and methods for switching operating bandwidth and/or operating channel in a wireless communications network. A transmitting STA may send an announcement of a switch to a particular bandwidth in a frame, wherein the presence or absence of a Secondary Channel Offset Element and a Wide Bandwidth Channel Switch Element in the frame indicates whether the particular bandwidth belongs to a first or second set of operating bandwidths. The first set of operating bandwidths may include VHT channels including 80 MHz only, 80+80 MHz and 160 MHz channels. The absence of the Secondary Channel Offset Element and a Wide Bandwidth Channel Switch Element in the frame may indicate a switch to the second set of operating bandwidths. The second set of operating bandwidths may include 20 MHz and 40 MHz channels.
