    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In an example ingress point of a wireless communication network, a method includes receiving a first ethernet frame comprising a precision time protocol (PTP) message at a first node and determining an ingress time for the PTP message, generating a packet data unit (PDU) for transmission to a second node of the wireless communication network based at least in part on the first ethernet frame by overwriting a field in the PTP message with a value corresponding to the ingress time, and sending the PDU to the second node. An egress point method may include receiving a PDU comprising a PTP message, determining an ingress time from a field in the PTP message overwritten with a value corresponding to the ingress time, and determining an adjustment for a timing parameter based at least in part on the ingress time.

    Abstract: A neutral home network (NHN) may support home-routed traffic between a user equipment (UE) and a network of a mobile network operator (MNO) associated with the UE. The NHN may transmit an access point name (APN) that indicates a public land mobile network (PLMN) identifier (ID) to the UE. If the NHN supports home-routed traffic, the NHN may transmit an APN that indicates an MNO PLMN ID. If the NHN does not support home-routed traffic, the NHN may transmit an APN that indicates an NHN PLMN ID. From the APN, the UE may determine whether the NHN supports home-routed traffic. If the NHN supports home-routed traffic, the UE may transmit a packet data network (PDN) connectivity request to the NHN. If the NHN does not support home-routed traffic, the UE may establish a tunnel to the MNO network through Internet access provided by the NHN.

    Abstract: Various features pertain to the authentication of mobile devices or other User Equipment. In some aspects, a Retail-based Neutral Host LTE is provided for use with Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks that, among other features, provides a WiFi Alliance HotSpot 2.0 (HS2.0) user experience using LTE technology for non-mobile network operator (non-MNO) Service Providers (SPs), while maintaining high security assurances as with LTE. That is, in some examples, Retail Neutral Host-LTE is configured to provide the same or similar security assurances as with MNO-based LTE. Moreover, retail Neutral Host-LTE offers options for provisioning credentials and authentication with the AAA that are analogous to the options for HS2.0, that is: username/password, SP-issued certificate, and pre-configured mobile device certificate. This is achieved, at least in part, while providing or ensuring that Retail Neutral Host-LTE security provides similar security assurances to MNO-based LTE.

    Abstract: A method for redirecting a user equipment (UE) from a first network to a second network is described.
