Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. An access and mobility management function (AMF) proxy may establish communication links with a RAN and a first AMF of a first network operator, and with a second AMF of a second network operator. The AMF proxy may receive a first message from the RAN, the first AMF, or the second AMF, the message indicating a manipulated or unmanipulated AMF user equipment (UE) identifier (ID) and a manipulated or unmanipulated RAN UE ID. The AMF proxy may perform ID manipulation the UE IDs in the first message based on a first mapping between the manipulated and unmanipulated AMF UE ID and a second mapping between the manipulated and unmanipulated RAN UE ID. The AMF proxy may transmit a second message to the first AMF, the second AMF, or the RAN based on the AMF UE ID or the RAN UE ID.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an uplink data message to a base station while the UE is in an inactive mode with respect to the base station. The UE may transmit the uplink data message in accordance with a communications procedure, which may be an example of a random access channel (RACH)-based communications procedure or a configured grant (CG)-based communications procedure. The UE may generate a report that includes parameters related to transmission of the uplink data message, which may be used to improve subsequent uplink data message transmissions from the UE, subsequent RACH procedures performed by the UE, or both. The UE may determine which parameters to include in the report based on the communications procedure and whether transmission of the uplink data message was successful. Accordingly, the UE may transmit the report to the base station.

In some examples, a wireless communications system may support machine learning and may configure a user equipment (UE) for machine learning. The UE may transmit, to a base station, a request message that includes an indication of a machine learning model or a neural network function based at least in part on a trigger event. In response to the request message, the base station may transmit a machine learning model, a set of parameters corresponding to the machine learning model, or a configuration corresponding to a neural network function and may transmit an activation message to the UE to implement the machine learning model and the neural network function.

Abstract: Reference signals used in location estimation of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless data network can be secured against a man-in-the-middle attack by a transmitting device withholding the conveyance of transmission parameters for decoding portions of a reference signal until after the portions are transmitted. Thus, receiving devices can buffer received signals and, after receiving the transmission parameters, process the buffered signals. To further prevent an attacker device from attacking future reference signals, transmission parameters can be nondeterministic such that an attacker device obtaining a parameter at a certain period of time is unable to use the decoded parameter predict or determine subsequent transmission parameters.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and/or a master node may use configurations to resume communications with one or more cells of a dual connectivity (DC) or carrier aggregation (CA) scheme. In some cases, the configuration may be used for a secondary cell group (SCG) of the DC scheme. This configuration may include the UE applying a previously stored configuration for the SCG (e. g., including higher-layer and lower-layer configurations of a last serving SN of the DC scheme) if it determines the previously stored configuration is valid. Additionally or alternatively, the configuration may include the network using a previous SCG configuration or reconfiguring the SCG and transmitting this indication in a resume communications message to the UE. In some cases, the network may determine this configuration based on assistance information or reports generated from the UE.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration message indicating a scheduling request configuration that includes at least one resource associated with a half-duplex mode of the UE and at least one resource associated with a full-duplex mode of the UE. The UE may transmit a scheduling request using the at least one resource associated with the half-duplex mode or the at least one resource associated with the full-duplex mode. Additionally, or alternatively, the configuration message may indicate a logical channel that maps to a corresponding scheduling request configuration associated with a half-duplex mode of the UE, to a corresponding scheduling request configuration associated with a full-duplex mode of the UE, or to a combination thereof. Accordingly, the UE may transmit the scheduling request using the logical channel. Numerous other aspects are described.
