Abstract: Various techniques are presented to improve phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) performance with respect to very high frequency communications. According to some embodiments, increased power boosting may be applied to improve PTRS performance, while still keeping power spectral density (PSD) within ETSI Broadband Radio Access Networks (BRAN) limits. In some cases, the power boosting may be semi-static and/or dynamic. In other embodiments, the improved performance may be achieved by dynamically changing time and/or frequency density of the PTRS. In other embodiments, a multi-port configuration may be used for the downlink PTRS. In other embodiments, one or more PTRS configurations may be determined per SCS and/or frequency band, e.g., based on traffic type, channel priority, parameters signaled in the slot format indication (SFI), etc. In other embodiments, common phase error (CPE) estimates may be obtained for those OFDM symbols without PTRS by interpolating the available PTRS estimates in the time domain.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for cross division duplex (XDD) operation in a wireless communication system are described herein. A user equipment (UE) is configured with one or more sub-bands (SBs) within a larger overall bandwidth (BW) (e.g., represented by a component carrier (CC), a bandwidth part (BWP), etc.), and that use uplink (UL)/downlink (DL) resource allocation(s) that may be different than the larger BW. Configurations for such SB-specific (SBS) arrangements that use guard bands (GBs) between SBs are discussed. Mechanisms for slot format indications (SFIs) within such SBs using either SBS DCI or cross-SB DCI are discussed. Mechanisms for providing SBS uplink resource for initial access (e.g., random access) using at least one initial UL BWP that is configured relative to one or more SBs and that may be used by XDD-capable UEs are discussed.

The processor monitors one or more paging occasions within a discontinuous repetition cycle (DRX) and can make a determination of one or more paging occasions within the DRX to not monitor. Each paging occasion may include a transmission by the network of downlink control information for one or more paging messages.

Abstract: A sidelink transmission and an uplink transmission that is carrying a sidelink hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) are both scheduled for transmission in a shared time window. If a priority associated with the sidelink HARQ is considered to be higher than a priority associated with the sidelink transmission, then a higher priority is assigned to the uplink transmission, regardless of whether the uplink transmission contains other uplink data. Otherwise, if the uplink transmission does not carry other uplink data, then the higher priority is assigned to the sidelink transmission. Greater transmission resources are given to the transmission with the higher priority.

Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate successful decoding of Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) based on a reduced number of retransmissions. Based on a given PDSCH, embodiments discussed herein can communicate feedback (e.g., Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) feedback, Channel State Information (CSI) feedback) that indicates an amount of additional information that can allow a User Equipment (UE) to successfully decode the PDSCH. In some embodiments, the feedback can indicate a requested Redundancy Version (RV) sequence that can allow the UE to successfully decode the PDSCH. In other embodiments, the feedback can indicate the amount of additional information, based on which a receiving Base Station (BS) can select a RV sequence.

A wireless device may monitor a control channel for control information according to a first periodic pattern. Each period of the first periodic pattern may include multiple slots. The wireless device may receive control information during a first slot. The first slot may be a specified slot according to the first periodic pattern. The control information received during the first slot may schedule a data communication. The wireless device may monitor the control channel for control information in at least one slot that is not specified according to the first periodic pattern based at least in part on receiving control information during a specified slot according to the first periodic pattern.
