Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may monitor a first control resource pool associated with sidelink control signaling during a first sensing window and monitor a portion of a second resource pool associated with sidelink data signaling during a second sensing window. The UE may perform joint resource selection on the first resource pool and the second resource pool based on the monitoring during the first and second sensing windows. The UE may transmit a sidelink control information message including resource indication fields to reserve the selected sidelink control channel resources and selected sidelink shared channel resources. The UE may transmit the sidelink data message on one or more of the reserved sidelink shared channel resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices supporting flexible frequency domain resource allocation (FDRA) for sidelink are described. For example, a wireless device may receive, over a sidelink channel, control information including a parameter associated with a first FDRA of a first transport block (TB) associated with an initial transmission and an indication of a second FDRA of a second TB associated with a subsequent transmission after the initial transmission. The wireless device may identify the first FDRA of the first TB based on receiving the control information and may communicate one or more signals over the sidelink channel based on identifying the first FDRA of the first TB and receiving the indication of the second FDRA of the second TB. In some examples, the wireless device may receive, over a second sidelink channel, second control information including a second parameter associated with a size of the second TB.

Abstract: Channel occupancy time (COT) aware sensing and resource selection for new radio-unlicensed (NR-U) sidelink operations is disclosed. A first sidelink user equipment (UE) determines a sensing window or resource selection window (RSW) based on a projected listen-before-talk (LBT) completion time. The UE may sense for a subset of sideline resources within the RSW and COT-SI from a neighboring sidelink UE including identification of a COT initiated by the neighboring UE and one or more parameters associated with the COT. The UE may identify in-COT resources of located within the COT and out-of-COT resources located outside of the COT and then randomly select a set of transmission resources from the in-COT and out-of-COT resources. The UE may then transmit to a second UE using the set of transmission resources.

A base station of a first network operator (OP) may determine a priority for the first OP for a transmission opportunity of a shared or unlicensed channel. The priority may be lower than a priority of a second OP for the transmission opportunity. Base station may transmit a tentative grant to a user equipment (UE) of the first OP scheduling transmissions over resources of the transmission opportunity. The transmitting device of the first OP may monitor a contention window for reservation signals communicated by devices of the second OP. Based on the monitoring and the tentative grant, the transmitting device of the first OP may perform the transmission over the resources of the shared or unlicensed channel.

The first UE selects at least a first resource from the subset of resources. The first UE transmits, to a second UE using the selected first resource, a sidelink transmission.
