    Abstract: Wireless communication devices, systems, and methods related to communicating UCI are provided. For example, a method of wireless communication may include receiving, by a user equipment (UE) from a base station (BS), scheduling information for transmitting a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) and uplink control information (UCI) during a time period. The UCI may include channel state information (CSI) or a scheduling request (SR). The method may include determining, by the UE, that the UCI and a HARQ-ACK codebook have a common priority, the HARQ-ACK being based on the HARQ-ACK codebook. The method may include transmitting, by the UE to the BS, the HARQ-ACK and the UCI during the time period based on the scheduling information, the transmitted UCI using resources determined based on a duration associated with the HARQ-ACK codebook, and the duration being based on the UCI and the HARQ-ACK codebook having the common priority.

    Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to determining symbols over which to transmit repetitions for certain types of communications. A resource grant can include information for transmitting a number of repetitions over a collection of resources, such as a starting symbol over which to transmit communications, a number of symbols over which to transmit communications, and/or a nominal number of repetitions to transmit. Where time division multiplexing (TDM) communications are configured, a slot format indicator (SFI) can be semi-statically or dynamically configured and can indicate a communication direction of symbols within one or more slots as being uplink, downlink, or flexible. Thus, mapping uplink communications to the symbols may be based on additional considerations.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) may receive signaling indicating a set of channel state information (CSI) report configurations for sidelink communications between the first device and a second device. The first device may then receive a request from the second device for a CSI report according to a first CSI report configuration from the set of CSI report configurations. The first device may perform channel measurements based on receiving the request and may generate the CSI report using the channel measurements according to the first CSI configuration. In some cases, the first device may determine whether to additionally generate the CSI report using one or more previous channel measurements based on whether the previous channel measurements were taken according to the same CSI report. The first device may then transmit the generated CSI report to the second device.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) or a base station, or both, may generate a set of orthogonal sequences that the UE may use to convey a payload of a number of bits based on a product of an orthogonal matrix and a cell-specific sequence. The UE or the base station, or both, may select a subset of the set of orthogonal sequences based on the number of bits in the payload, and the UE may construct a codebook including the subset of orthogonal sequences. The UE may select an orthogonal sequence from the constructed codebook based on the bits in the payload. The UE may transmit the payload including the number of bits to the base station using the selected orthogonal sequence.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a downlink control transmission and multiple downlink data transmissions to a user equipment (UE). The UE may schedule an uplink data transmission based on the downlink control transmission and may schedule transmission acknowledgement messages based on the multiple downlink data transmissions. The UE may identify that the scheduled uplink data transmission overlaps with the scheduled transmission acknowledgement messages. The UE may generate one or more acknowledgement codebooks for transmission of the multiple transmission acknowledgment messages and may multiplex the one or more acknowledgement codebooks with the uplink data transmission on the uplink data channel. In some cases, the UE may multiplex the codebooks based on determining that a set of timing thresholds are satisfied by an earliest of the multiple transmission acknowledgement messages and the uplink data transmission with respect to one or more downlink transmissions.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a user equipment (UE) may be configured with periodic uplink grants that provide a number of repetitions and a redundancy version (RV) sequence for the repetitions. Prior to the start of an uplink grant period, the UE may determine a set of slots that are available for uplink transmissions in the uplink grant period. Based on the set of slots, the UE may determine a corresponding RV for repetitions of the uplink communication associated with each slot. The slots with uplink transmissions within the uplink grant period may be non-contiguous. Repetitions of an uplink communication may be configured to be transmitted across multiple uplink grant periods, which may be triggered based on a threshold value associated with the repetitions.

The apparatus may be configured to receive additional information regarding at least one of a carrier, a BWP, or a resource pool through which the discovery signals will be transmitted and a numerology used by the discovery signals and communicate through at least one of a PSSCH or PSCCH with the second UE through a first carrier, BWP, resource pool, or numerology and wherein the channel measurements performed on the discovery signals received from the second UE based on the indicated DMTC are performed on a second carrier, BWP, resource pool, or numerology.
