Abstract: In an aspect, a UE determines whether there is an overlap between a first uplink transmission channel allocated for transmission of a first uplink transmission and a second uplink transmission channel allocated for transmission of second uplink transmission. The UE generates a combined uplink transmission payload in response to a determination that there is the overlap, wherein the combined uplink transmission payload includes at least a portion of the first uplink transmission and at least a portion of the second uplink transmission. The UE transmits the combined uplink transmission payload on either the first uplink transmission channel or the second uplink transmission channel. A base station receives the combined uplink transmission payload transmitted by the UE.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for non-codebook based UL transmission. In some cases, a UE may signal, to a network entity, capability information of the UE for non-codebook uplink transmissions. The UE may then receive, signaling, from the network entity, indicating a plurality of sounding reference signal (SRS) configurations based at least on the signaled capability information, wherein at least one configuration indicates at least one SRS resource and determine a plurality of precoding candidates, wherein each precoding candidate is associated with a configured SRS resource. The UE may then transmit the SRSs using the associated precoding candidates.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide various wireless communication numerology designs that can maintain symbol boundary alignment while multiplexing different numerologies in wireless communication. The symbols may be scaled for different tone or subcarrier spacings while maintaining the symbol boundary alignment between different numerologies. Maintaining the symbol-boundary alignment between different numerologies enables symbol-level numerology multiplexing. The disclosed numerology designs enable low latency communication and improved interference management, and provide non-ambiguous symbol boundary timing reference for multiplexing different numerologies.

Abstract: NB wireless communication involves numerous challenges. A limited frequency dimension may need to be shared by multiple users. At times, large data transmissions, including multiple TBs of data may be transmitted using NB communication, and it may be important that each TB be successfully received by the users. The apparatus may transmit data comprising a plurality of TBs in a narrow band communications system, including repeating a transmission of the plurality of TBs, using any of a number of repetition patterns. The apparatus may use error correction encoding across multiple TBs. The transmission may be a single cell transmission or a multi-cell transmission.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for scaling transmission power across transmit chains for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions. In some cases, a UE may determine a transmit power budget, receiving signaling indicating how to allocate the transmit power budget across transmit chains for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission, allocate the transmit power budget across transmit chains for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission, and transmitting the PUSCH using the transmit chains according to the determined transmit power allocation.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for managing unwanted transmissions by a wireless communications device, such as spurious transient transmissions caused by changing a power level of a transmitter. An exemplary method includes determining, based on one or more parameters, an action to reduce an impact of a spurious transmission by the UE, wherein the spurious transmission relates to at least one of changing a transmit power level at the UE or switching one or more radio components at the UE, and taking the determined action to reduce the impact.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may determine at least one of a downlink path loss value or an uplink path loss value associated with a base station; receive system information, a semi-persistently configured grant via RRC or a dynamic uplink grant via DCI from the base station, wherein the RRC signaling or the dynamic uplink grant identifies a power control value associated with one user or a plurality of users associated with the base station; and determine a transmit power for a data or control transmission based at least in part on at least one of the downlink path loss value or the uplink path loss value and the power control value. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to mitigating collision between reference signals and direct current subcarriers both occupying at least a same resource element of a resource block. Specifically, a UE may at least adjust a DMRS pattern within the resource block based on determining an upcoming occurrence of the collision between the DMRS and the DC subcarrier. Further, a network entity may determine that the UE should transmit the DMRS according to an adjusted DMRS pattern and transmit the adjusted DMRS pattern to the UE on a downlink communication channel.

Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to communicating in a wireless network. A resource grant comprising an indicator of whether to transmit a demodulation reference signal (RS) for an uplink control channel or an uplink data channel can be received from a network entity. It can be determined whether to transmit the RS in at least one transmission time interval (TTI) based at least in part on the indicator.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for interference mitigation. An exemplary method performed by a base station generally includes determining, based on a location of another base station and information regarding the other base station, that the other base station is likely to experience interference while receiving an uplink transmission due to a downlink transmission by the base station and forming a null in a beam of the downlink transmission in a direction matching the location of the other base station.
