Abstract: Creation or update of a security context between user equipment and MSC/VLR (Mobile Switching Centre/Visitor Location Register) for circuit switched domain services is provided. The creation or update is based on conversion of the security context used in an evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) in the Mobility Management Entity (MME) to a security context for the circuit switched domain target system and transferring it to a MSC/VLR. When user equipment is moved from E-UTRAN to GSM EDGE Radio Access Network/Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (GERAN/UTRAN), a MME does not need to perform authentication and key agreement procedures to establish shared circuit switched security context for the user equipment.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for caching content at a network component and providing the cached content to requesting UEs. An example method generally includes receiving a request for content from a user equipment, inspecting the request for information about the requested content, determining, based on information about the requested content obtained by inspecting the request, if the requested content is on a service list, and providing the requested content from a cache to the UE if it is determined the requested content is on the service list and cached at the base station or retrieving the requested content from a remote source, storing the requested content in the cache, and providing the requested content to the UE if it is determined the requested content is on the service list but not cached at the base station.

The apparatus may be a UE that receives a multicast/broadcast data transmission via a group bearer. The UE receives a paging message including a type of the group bearer. In addition, the UE determines whether to remain in or change to an RRC idle mode or an RRC connected mode based on the type of the group bearer received in the paging message.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may be a UE that performs a PTT/PTX call setup for communication via MBMS. In a first configuration, the UE sets up a unicast bearer with an eNB, and sends group call setup signaling to the eNB while setting up the unicast bearer. In a second configuration, the UE sets up a unicast bearer with an eNB, and receives group call setup signaling from the eNB while setting up the unicast bearer. In a third configuration, the UE receives a group page while in an RRC idle state, and receives group call setup signaling based on information in the group page.
