Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A method may include identifying a reference number of tones for an overhead channel of a transport block and segmenting the transport block into a code block based at least in part on the reference number of tones for the overhead channel. In some examples, a code block indicator or the reference number of tones may be transmitted on a control channel. Another method may include receiving a code block size indicator associated with a code block of a transport block, decoding the code block based at least in part on the code block size indicator and assembling the transport block based at least in part on the decoded code block. In some examples, the code block size indicator may be received using a control channel.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may schedule a user equipment (UE) to transmit a sidelink data message to another UE. The base station may consider timing capabilities of the transmitting UE and the receiving UE when scheduling the sidelink communication. For example, the base station may schedule a feedback resource based on the timing capabilities of the transmitting UE and the receiving UE. The feedback resource may be scheduled with enough time such that the sidelink UEs can finish processing any sidelink communications in time to provide the feedback for the sidelink communications to the base station using the feedback resource.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for determining a suitable pattern for transmitting reference signals used for positioning on allocated resources. In particular, the pattern may be used to assign the reference signals to frequency tones across multiple symbols such that the frequency tones to which the reference signals are mapped in at least two consecutive symbols are non-adjacent (e.g., separated by at least one frequency tone). In some cases, a wireless device may determine the pattern used to assign reference signals used for positioning autonomously (e.g., based on configured algorithms or a look-up table), and, in other cases, a wireless device (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) may determine the pattern used to assign reference signals used for positioning based on a configuration received from another wireless device (e.g., a base station).

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for handling delayed sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission. A user equipment may be configured to receive, from a network, at least one SRS parameter and a first downlink control information (DCI), wherein the first DCI includes a first request for transmission of a first SRS; identify a first slot for transmission of the first SRS based on said at least one SRS parameter and the first DCI; determine that the first slot is not available for transmission of the first SRS; identify a second slot for transmission of the first SRS in response to the determining that the first slot is not available for transmission of the first SRS; determine a maximum SRS delay associated with the first SRS; and determine whether to transmit the first SRS in the second slot based on the maximum SRS delay.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to estimate a signal-to-noise ratio for each antenna port associated with a reception of one or more tracking reference signals. The UE may receive one or more of multiple single-port tracking reference signals, a single multi-port tracking reference signal, or a tracking reference signal associated with multiple power ratios. The UE may be able to estimate a channel upon receiving a demodulation reference signal. The channel estimation may be based on the reception of one or more of multiple single-port tracking reference signals, the single multi-port tracking reference signal, or the tracking reference signal associated with multiple power ratios. The UE may communicate with the base station based on estimating the channel.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration signal, the configuration signal indicating a configuration for a positioning reference signal. The UE may determine one or more properties associated with the positioning reference signal based on the configuration signal. The UE may determine an accuracy level associated with one or more timing measurements based on the one or more properties associated with the positioning reference signal, and transmit a measurement report associated with the positioning reference signal to a base station. In some examples, the measurement report may be related to the accuracy level associated with the one or more timing measurements.
